Finally after a long induction since sunday I am 8cm!

How does pushing with an epidural feel?!

Any stories of yours welcomed ☺

My body pushed the baby out. I had very little to do with it grin

I had an induction and epidural. I felt all my contractions and had the urge to push, but I didn't have any of the associated pain.

Good luck! You're nearly there!

Exciting! You’re almost there 😀

I had an epidural (and spinal block) when I was fully dilated. I just relied on the obstetrician to tell me when to push. Felt some pressure but zero pain. Baby came out after 2 big pushes.

Good luck!

I had one 16 hours into my 20 hour labour and I was the best decision I've ever made

You literally don't feel anything, (I had a nap shortly after which was the best nap of my life) I felt a slight tensing across the top of my stomach when at the time to push (not at all sore) and the widwifes basically told me to push and how long for, "push like you're having a big poo" is what they said, before labour I was petrified of pooing in labour, by that point I didn't care, so I did just that

I ended up with an episiotomy and internal tearing (again didn't feel a thing or the stitching after) they did want to c section due to her heart rate (was up and down throughout) and the fact she'd pooped so they wanted her out asap

I just wish I'd had my epidural sooner

Congrats & good luck!!

I had an epidural just before I needed to push baby out. Mine was a forceps delivery and I also had an episiotomy. I just remember the bliss of no pain. The midwife pushed on the top of my stomach when I had contractions and told me when to push - by putting my chin on my chest as though I was having a massive poo. I honestly didn't feel anything I just followed their instructions and luckily the forceps were not used too harshly and my gorgeous boy was born with no visible marks. Best of luck you are very nearly there and will be holding your newborn in your arms soon!

I had no urge to push and ended up with forceps as I was too tired to push
Might you I always thought i would refuse forceps and by the end I was begging for them.
