Today I have been to IKEA and back home in less than an hour!

Is this a word record?

We only bought what we went there for too apart from Daim bars and meat balls and Christmas wrapping paper

<unreasonably proud>

Was it closed when you got there?😁😁😁

I live close to an IKEA so am an expert at it and am bored of it tbh. Only go in for breakfast these days.

Did your watch stop? grin

PerfectlyDone Sun 19-Nov-17 12:25:00

No, was not closed! grin

We used all the short-cuts, when straight to the desk chair we wanted, straight to the warehouse, straight home --via the freezer for meat balls, natch!)

Now have a desk chair for DS1 to build.

But everyone knows it takes at least an hour to get there. Regardless of it you’re only living a mile away, it still takes an hour.

Teach me the art of teleportation!

IncyWincyGrownUp Sun 19-Nov-17 12:53:18

It takes me two hours to get to my ‘local’ IKEA, bus, train, bus, IKEA, bus, train, bus.

It’s exhausting just thinking about it!

Frusso Sun 19-Nov-17 12:53:52

You could have done it much quicker by pre ordering at home and going straight to collections. Shame on you. grin

PerfectlyDone Sun 19-Nov-17 15:00:02

Frusso, noooooo - really?! shock

Not much travel time admittedly - 15 minutes tops.
Prior to the Big Blue-and-Yellow Shop having been built here, it was a 4 hour round trip...

Frusso Sun 19-Nov-17 15:50:35

Don’t feel bad, i was a little unfair, that would only be possible if you have a collection point one near you.

Still 30mins in store isn’t bad. But you could knock an extra minute or two off by getting isle and location online and —depending on store— could go straight to the warehouse.

I went to IKEA today! I was out in 30mins! The store was closing. Though it does take a 35 minute drive to get there! I managed to get all my stuff minus a small storage box. Was very pleased with myself! smile
