We all have/know about comfort food, but what about viewing?

I'm 'poorly sick' at moment normal telly rubbish at weekends so I'm watching Netflix but Cba watching anything that requires too much concentration so going back to old favourites.

Have watched mib now watching volcano (2nd time this week) love TLJ.

What are your go to's for when you need 'comfort viewing'?

Clueless, Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion or the 90s TV adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.

North and South Richard Armitage version.

Persuasion Ciaran Hinds version.

Escape to the Country, Garden force and ITV3 have been showing 80s episodes of Corrie which is weirdly comforting.
I love old b & w British films too.

Another vote for 90s BBC adaptation of p and p , oh and Sister Act. Whoopi Goldberg always cheers me up!

Grey's Anatomy. Starting at season one like an old comfortable sweater.

Definitely Ciaran Hinds version of Persuasion. Best feel-good jane Austen adaptation ever.
I love Legally Blonde when I'm ill - really cheers you up.

Accrual that’s the playlist from every teenage sleepover my friends and I ever had grin

Food Network or the other food channel. Ideally Barefoot Contessa, but I also like Anna Olson. Or bbc reruns of Nigel Slater, Mary Berry and the Hairy Bikers.

Judge Judy here too!

Law and Order, I've seen them all so many times, whatever episode is on just feels comfortable and familiar.

And Diagnosis Murder for Dick Van Dyke!

Singin' in the rain - lovely nostalgic memories

ManicUnicorn Sat 21-Oct-17 15:53:58

Only Fools and Horses. God knows why, Ive seen them all millions of times and I don't even think they are that funny in all honesty. But there is something strangely comforting about it, like putting on a warm comfy pair of slippers. It reminds me of my family, growing up etc I think.
