Anyone know? Lots of emergency vehicles whizzing by in NW London

ShirleyPhallus Fri 20-Oct-17 19:58:57

Unconfirmed reports of a stabbing according to twitter

Bratsandtwats Fri 20-Oct-17 20:00:04

It's being evacuated according to Twitter.

Overcrowding from what I've read?

hesterton Fri 20-Oct-17 20:03:01

It says overcrowding but fire engines and ambulances spotted by dh heading that way from a mile north.

Sounds like it's reopened so hopefully just a precaution.

Overcrowding was earlier at around 5PM. I think this is a separate incident.

hesterton Fri 20-Oct-17 20:12:37

He's just come home. Apparently all emergency vehicles going north towards M1 not south. My mistake.

Staff pressed alarm due to overcrowding.

OhYouBadBadKitten Fri 20-Oct-17 20:23:13

twitter has gone a bit batty over it.

bonfireheart Fri 20-Oct-17 20:27:13

They should have some kind of tannoy or loud speakers to tell customers what's happening. In the current climate people assume the worse and a lot of people seemed to be get hurt in the rush to get out today.

fairyofallthings Fri 20-Oct-17 20:28:33

Nothing on the BBC website.

Hmmmm overcrowding at kings cross overground to the extend it needed closing really?..

OnionKnight Fri 20-Oct-17 20:32:37

How much overcrowding are we talking about here?

brasty Fri 20-Oct-17 20:32:59

I have come out the tube at Kings Cross just as they closed it for overcrowding.

fairyofallthings Fri 20-Oct-17 20:33:42

According to Twitter it closed 1-2 hours ago due to overcrowding - is there another incident or has it got over crowded again?

SilverdaleGlen Fri 20-Oct-17 20:33:55

Brasty, how crowded was it exactly? The place is massive and people flow through.

DerelictWreck Fri 20-Oct-17 20:34:44

It was closed earlier at 5:45 due to overcrowding, not sure about now. Happens fairly regularly (probably every other month) where they just make it exit only for a bit or from some exits and then all is fine again.

DerelictWreck Fri 20-Oct-17 20:37:58

Super crowded! There were massive queues to get through the ticket barriers, then you couldn't even get onto the Victoria Line North platform. Seems to be exacerbated by both Overground and Northern Line being down.

brasty Fri 20-Oct-17 20:51:54

Its about the platforms becoming overcrowded. Anyone who travels through here at rush hour will not be surprised by this.

PricklyBall Fri 20-Oct-17 20:58:13

I've been in this situation in Reading station, where they cleared us due to overcrowding and had the police supervising - not unprecedented.

bonfireheart Fri 20-Oct-17 22:15:09

If you follow their twitter pages it does happen regularly at tube stations where they close them for overcrowding.
