What do you serve it with?

Was going to do mash and greens but apparently we don't have many spuds in according to DH. I cba going to the shop after work so thought I might serve with rice.

Is that a bit odd?

Rice or crusty bread. Never pasta.

In central Europe Goulash-style dishes and traditionally served with buttered noodles, so something like tagliatelle would work.
