Does the sun look red to anyone else?
Just out in the garden and the sky is a funny yellow colour, really warm and the wind is picking up.
Is this the ‘hurricane’?!

HateSummer Mon 16-Oct-17 10:34:10

Yes! Very orangey coloured and it’s so hot today confused

DonkeyOaty Mon 16-Oct-17 10:34:24

Yes we have been remarking on it on a thread about the hurricane.

Weird and unsettling. blush

LilithTheKitty Mon 16-Oct-17 10:34:30

I'm in the NW. I can't see the sun because of the clouds but everything is sort of orange with the odd light quality.

BarbaraOcumbungles Mon 16-Oct-17 10:34:41

The sky is a weird colour here too ( West Midlands) very windy!

FruBayerischOla Mon 16-Oct-17 10:34:57

I expect so. Whereabouts are you?

No sign of the sun here (S Wales) but we have the yellow sky. I've had to put the lights on too.

midnightflowers Mon 16-Oct-17 10:36:06

I’m in the West Midlands.
It feels eery and strange outside!

FormerlyFrikadela01 Mon 16-Oct-17 10:37:11

I'm in west yorkshire. It's foggy and grey as usual.

Dementedswan Mon 16-Oct-17 10:37:49

North East here. The sky is a weird yellow/Orange. It's dark and very still. Feels oppressive and spooky.

BarbaraOcumbungles Mon 16-Oct-17 10:37:59

It does feel a bit eerie doesn’t it.

Maybe it’s the end of the world.

AnnetteCurtin Mon 16-Oct-17 10:38:29

Yes, red here too, and the air is a very weird yellow ( I don't think I mean air, but can't think of the right word) ☺️

furlinedsheepskinjacket Mon 16-Oct-17 10:38:54

normal grey day skies here in hants

i'm jealous smile

Cappuccinoloverr Mon 16-Oct-17 10:39:27

I'm in Essex.

Sun is white.

CanIBuffalo Mon 16-Oct-17 10:39:27

It went so dark here that the birds roosted in the tree as if it were night. So hot and still too.

AnnetteCurtin Mon 16-Oct-17 10:39:58

Light quality, that's what I mean like Lilith said.

CanIBuffalo Mon 16-Oct-17 10:40:16

I've only seen this once before - during an eclipse.

Ttbb Mon 16-Oct-17 10:40:35

That's normal when you have dust/fog in the way.

midnightflowers Mon 16-Oct-17 10:40:56

My first thought was the end of the world! blush

midnightflowers Mon 16-Oct-17 10:42:16

Oh wow!
It’s gone bright red now!
Although the clouds are beginning to cover it completely

BarbaraOcumbungles Mon 16-Oct-17 10:42:27

It is exactly the same lift quality as during the eclipse isn’t it buffallo

It’s probanly caused by dust or sand in the atmosphere or something.

Springlambs Mon 16-Oct-17 10:42:44

West mids here too and I just commented to DS1 how strange the sky looks, kind of murky

blueskyinmarch Mon 16-Oct-17 10:43:02

Sun? What sun? It is like nighttime here. Misty, pouring and utterly miserable on the east coast of Scotland.

LuckLuckLUCK Mon 16-Oct-17 10:45:59

Spooky in the south west!
