What would you do if you were given £5000 by a kindly relative?

Some Chanel in some form or other. Bag(s) and maybe a bit of jewellery? You lucky thing, enjoy!

Boob uplift

If I had to spend it on style and beauty?
I'd get some Josef cheaneys with some of the money, two or three outfits from luxury shops, refill all my channel make up and buy 'fun' make up too. I'd also sort out my bras and underwear from a proper lingerie shop.
Then I'd get some lovely cashmere jumpers (I recently discovered the glory of cashmere) and finally maybe a statement piece of jewellery.

And maybe a jacket from Canada goose....

And cashmere socks. Even though I an saving up for them now anyway.

Take dh and the two kids to disneyland paris for four days. And buy them lots of the merch.

I was thinking boob job of some sort, but they've been through enough 😭 don't think I could cope with the pain.

Piaget possession bracelet - almost bought one couple of years ago and still think about it from time to time <shallow>

Basically a beautiful piece of jewellery, esp if the money was supposed to be used for something sentimental and not practical e.g. towards deposit, house repairs etc

A holiday - probably Japan.

If I had to spend it on S&B - a really good course of facials. A fantastic coat. A brilliant suit

Mum who has never had any money has given me and my 3 siblings£5000 pounds each. She has been sorting financial matters out since my dear father died and has generously shared this between us.

PurpleDaisies Sat 23-Sep-17 23:39:27

Have got thoughts on what sort of thing you might like to buy op?

Blondielongie Sat 23-Sep-17 23:39:37

Maybe you should put it away for a rainy day. But spend £500 of it now!

mollysfriend Sat 23-Sep-17 23:42:05

Spend £1000, invest £4000.

123fushia Sat 23-Sep-17 23:43:23

Could go on holiday, or do some home improvements but don't want to waste it as it's been so hard to earn it!

123fushia Sat 23-Sep-17 23:44:17

Mollysfriend - good idea

halfbuffy Sat 23-Sep-17 23:44:54

I'd put a third into savings, a third to pay off some debt and a third to get nice things for the house....most likely an obscenely pointless expensive candle!

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff Sat 23-Sep-17 23:45:38

I'd put it towards a tummy tuck!

123fushia Sat 23-Sep-17 23:48:33

Hahaha! Now you've got me thinking! X
