Should I try to bring it back up? Two mins ago, slightly larger than an olive pit

Thanks xx

It'll be fine. Just let it pass through.

ShirleyPhallus Sat 23-Sep-17 22:29:32

I would, otherwise in 3-4 weeks you'll get a plum tree growing out your mouth. You can expect fruit in 5-6 weeks.

TheSpottedZebra Sat 23-Sep-17 22:29:35

No it's fine, it'll just come out the other end.

Tazerface Sat 23-Sep-17 22:29:36

Why would you? If it went straight down then there's no risk of choking.

HelloMyNameIsNino Sat 23-Sep-17 22:30:19

According to my nan you will soon have a tree coming out of your tummy button.

I'm just worried as it's got quite sharp edges, but it was just the one so thanks hopefully it's fine. Slippery little things!

you will get gritty poo in a day or two.

as long as you have no pain in your oesophagus or no breathing difficulties there is no need to seek medical help despite what 111 will tell you.

I think I feel it, but not any pain. My nearest a and e is quite a long way away too.

111 are hopeless they would have made me feel so bad that I had to spend the night waiting at a and e!

I did that as a small child. Stung a bit coming out the other end but did no harm otherwise.

A fruit tree will grow out of your mouth.

Cameblackbenzleftwhite1 Sun 24-Sep-17 11:52:35

It came out whole?

As hillarious as the growing a tree is, it's been said already..

Ktay Sun 24-Sep-17 11:58:22

I'm sure it's fine but I recently read that cherry stones (appreciate different fruit) are poisonous (someone nearly died from eating just two of them). Swallowing whole vs chewing them could make a difference I suppose too. Is it worth a call to 111 to be on safe side?

Brenna24 Sun 24-Sep-17 12:00:08

They are quite resilient. We don't have the enzymes to digest cellulose. It came out whole and unharmed. grin

Cherry stones, apricot kernels etc do contain cyanide, but will only harm you if you break open the kernel to enjoy the almond flavoured insides, as the man did with the cherry stones.

Who pissed on your chips this morning?

KurriKurri Sun 24-Sep-17 12:54:50

Eat some bread to coat it on it's way down (no idea if this actually works, or has any basis in science, but it is something my Mum always advised if you swallowed a fish bone or something)
