In Tesco's - buy one (£2), get two free! smile

OpalMoon Fri 22-Sep-17 15:23:34

That's because that scummy, arseholing, profit driven, screw the customers (and historic recipes) Mondelēzhas ruined them.

rogueantimatter Fri 22-Sep-17 15:24:34

Eh What?

I've just bought six.

andpeggy29 Fri 22-Sep-17 15:26:30

@OpalMoon they still taste pretty good! Enough for me to smash my way through a whole one at work on a Friday afternoon!

NearLifeExperience Fri 22-Sep-17 15:27:35

Oh, thanks for that... DH loves them so I'll buy three to put a couple in his stocking and scoff the other one

CakeNinja Fri 22-Sep-17 15:38:40

Uh oh... and so it begins. The annual buy/scoff/rebuy/rescoff cycle until it gets to Christmas Eve and I realise I've scoffed the last 2 and have one left to split between three stockings - of course, torn by this hideous dilemma, I have to eat the last one - I don't think they have ever received a chocolate orange in any of their stockings grin

OpalMoon Fri 22-Sep-17 15:51:57

Hmm okay. I might be tempted if they aren't greasy and chemical tasting. Maybe the last one I had was a bad batch.
Bright side, at least I'll have 2 stocking fillers for Christmas smile

Scrowy Fri 22-Sep-17 15:54:48

they taste waxy to me now

NotAPuffin Fri 22-Sep-17 16:25:02

They're a fiver each in Irish Tesco envy

SoPassRemarkable Fri 22-Sep-17 16:26:30

They've tasted cheap and horrible for years now.

Blackandpurple Fri 22-Sep-17 16:37:57

Love them!

Bought 6😳

Pancakeflipper Fri 22-Sep-17 16:43:54

Phew- thought you were going to tell me that this year they have shrunk to the size of a ping pong ball.

fourquenelles Fri 22-Sep-17 16:48:13

I think they are smaller Pancake sad

Pancakeflipper Fri 22-Sep-17 17:02:05

ChardonnaysPrettySister Fri 22-Sep-17 17:03:22

They are horrible now.

Palm oil, sugar and some essences.

No thanks.

Penguin27 Fri 22-Sep-17 17:10:34

It sounds like a good deal but they've been £1 all year so why now £2! Still on my way to Tesco to buy one... ok, three.

yorkshireyummymummy Fri 22-Sep-17 17:38:25

I bought six on Wednesday. There's only five left now. I now have another six being delivered tomorrow. It's rude not to frankly. 67p for a chocolate orange!!

lizzieoak Fri 22-Sep-17 17:41:11

If they haven't gone back to the old recipe I think I'll pass. It's been our tradition for decades so really makes me sad.

If Green and Blacks could do an orange shaped one with their dark chocolate orange bar I'd buy them in a second. Real orange oil.

dantdmistedious Fri 22-Sep-17 18:50:07

I'm so sad they taste like grease now they're horrible.

SongforSal Fri 22-Sep-17 18:55:50

My DD,17 came home with 6 yesterday. I have never been more proud of her bargain hunting skills.

fessmess Fri 22-Sep-17 18:58:55

Imo they've always been vile. envy

CakeNinja Fri 22-Sep-17 18:59:25

They still taste good to me, much to the disapproval of my waistline grin

WeAllHaveWings Fri 22-Sep-17 19:04:44

Haven't bought for 2 years. Chocolate is awful now.

Lobsterquadrille2 Fri 22-Sep-17 19:10:42

My tastes are not very discerning then ... I still like them! I bought two tubs of Celebrations for £7 last week in Tesco's and shall be buying double my Christmas requirements over the next couple of months to allow for pre-Christmas sampling consumption.
