Going to a friends house on Friday night for films and takeaway and she's requested I bake brownies. Not a problem at all as it's instead of wine or flowers because we don't really drink and I like baking (and we both like eating them!)

The only problem is I've lost my somewhat famous recipe and it's been so long since I made them I can't remember it.

It was one I found on the internet about ten years ago and tweaked but I can't remember where it was from.

So I need your tried and tested recipes please!

Go to Costco
Buy Ghiradelli mix
Follow instructions to the letter
Done.

Or buy it on Amazon: www.amazon.co.uk/Ghirardelli-Chocolate-Triple-Brownie-2-26kg/dp/B004PBIS0E?tag=mumsnetforum-21

Hummingbird bakery ones got lots of compliments when I made them for a bbq last summer.

Agree with PPs. Those BBC best ever ones are, erm, the best ever. And I've tried a lot. blush

Actually the BBC Chocolate Raspberry brownies recipe is amazing. Just leave out the raspberries. They are the best brownies I've ever tasted.

The chocolate orange brownies by Sara Buenfeld on the BBC good food site are amazing. So easy, and get brilliant reviews wherever I take them.

These. They make for a very gooey brownie. I am asked to make them constantly for family get togethers which is mildly frustrating as I actually prefer Smitten Kitchen's peanut butter brownies and they always disappear in about five minutes. You can reduce the sugar by a cup and they're still good.

OMG that is the same as the BBC best ever recipe!
