Is there any way you can delay ovulation?

I'm having a hysteroscopy and laparoscopy next month, but I'm due to ovulate the week before. Is there any way to delay it so that it will be just after the op, so that I have a really good chance of conceiving that month?

I was wondering if I took the pill for a few days, or is that really stupid?

TTC is sending me bonkers grin

I've read that some clinics delay ovulation with ibuprofen, but tbh your body will be going through enough - better to just leave it alone this month.
Don't take the pill.
The stress of an up compiling op may delay things.

I don't think I would mess about if trying to conceive. If it was me, I'd just write off that cycle and focus on recovery that month. Frustrating I know. Good luck.

No - otherwise we would also be able to do it for contraception. Sorry.

Taking the pill for a few days would be very silly. Don't do that.

Why would taking the pill be very silly?

Misuse of medication . the pill doesn't work like that, 'taken for a few days'.

I think you might feel very sore after a hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, and be grateful for a couple of weeks to recover.

Good luck ttc.
