...are you currently waiting for?

Inspired by another thread where people mentioned the last thing they ordered online, and another chat with one of our local delivery drivers when she delivered yet another parcel blush

How many things are you waiting on and what are they?

Here's my list:
- T-shirt from Etsy for DD
- 6 charity t-shirts from USA
- Winter jackets for DTs
- Other winter jackets for DTs (we couldn't decide so 2 of the 4 will go back)
- Guides polo shirt for DD
- Guides hoody for DD
- Thermos for DS
- Book from Amazon for me
- Letter-shaped balloons from Hobbycraft to make decorations for DD's birthday
- DVD from Amazon for DN's birthday
- School cardigan from M&S to replace the one DD has already lost

(I've already received 3 parcels this week and it's only Tuesday blush)

And now I'm seriously tempted to order some bloody tinfoil from Amazon because I've just had to use a baking tray to cover the dish dinner is in yet again probably the 5th time in the space of about a week and yet despite being in the supermarket (or walking past it) daily, and knowing I've been out of tinfoil for about a month, I still haven't managed to remember to actually buy any!!!

TonicAndTonic Tue 19-Sep-17 16:40:23

A coat from Gap, which I ordered on Friday morning but they are showing so signs of dispatching...

I have lots of things in my Amazon basket but haven't actually placed the order yet... I have Prime though so should be pretty quick when I do.

Honestly I'd order a lot more online if I didn't work full time, and so could be at home to receive all the parcels! Can't get them delivered to work sadly.

CatastropheKate Tue 19-Sep-17 16:42:25

Nothing, but thanks for reminding me to order a large blackboard.

IreneWinters Tue 19-Sep-17 16:43:11

DD's PE trousers (been waiting for them since July angry).
A Halti and a puppy Kong from Amazon.

That's quite restrained for me. The postman, Amazon delivery guy and the Hermes bloke have all made comments in the past about how often they are at my front door. It's mainly because I hate going into town to go shopping so I do as much online as I can. At the moment though, I'm trying not to spend too much because I have to pay for the actual puppy to go with the Halti and the Kong at the end of the month.

Jedbartletforpresident Tue 19-Sep-17 16:52:40

I too avoid going into town and to be honest Amazon prime is just too bloody tempting!

The t-shirts, book and balloons are definitely luxuries but everything else falls under "necessary" for me - the kind of thing I could buy in town if I could be arsed to go. (With the exception of the guide uniform because the guiding shop is only open twice a week at the most inopportune times)

Luckily I am at home a lot during the day, and if I'm not the local couriers are happy to leave parcels in our summer house so I rarely miss deliveries.

Jedbartletforpresident Tue 19-Sep-17 16:53:24

Irene - where are these PE trousers coming from that you've had to wait since July?! shock

Heratnumber7 Tue 19-Sep-17 16:54:44

It's no wonder shops are struggling to stay open. I had no idea people ordered so much stuff on line.
I like to touch and feel stuff and inspect it closely before I buy it Luddite

Jedbartletforpresident Tue 19-Sep-17 16:57:07

Oh and Irene - I have to ask - what on God's good earth are Haltis and Kongs???

Tonic - has your GAP order been despatched yet? One of my orders is from GAP and it was placed on Sunday and still no sign of it being shipped. First time I've ordered from GAP online (we used to have a local store but it closed down a little while ago) but I'm surprised at how long it's taking them to ship the order
