Just curious really grin
Dd had her birthday a week ago and I'm really reluctant to take her cards down. They'll probably stay up for about a month. That's the normal in my home, you?

A week but I decorate with banner and ballons too

DramaAlpaca Mon 17-Jul-17 15:02:58

monkeywithacowface Mon 17-Jul-17 15:04:21

I don't put them up at all. I hate cards!

tropical1 Mon 17-Jul-17 15:04:45

One week . We also have banners and balloons for kids birthdays

Justhadmyhaircut Mon 17-Jul-17 15:05:00

Missed 2 in December!!confused

RedStripeIassie Mon 17-Jul-17 15:05:40

The balloons stay around till they pop. The banner was outside and blew away.

After about a week they all get chucked into the recycling bin.

Floralnomad Mon 17-Jul-17 15:09:35

4 days to a week unless I get really peed off with them and then it's quicker . Never put Christmas cards up , they sit in a heap , can't stand them and I love Christmas .

Katedotness1963 Mon 17-Jul-17 15:16:14

A week. Except my birthday, cards go in the recycling at the end of the day.

EnidButton Mon 17-Jul-17 15:19:16

A week. It'd be shorter than that if it was just me living here. I like getting them and having them up for my birthday but after 2 days it's over.

NC4now Mon 17-Jul-17 15:20:49

A week ish. Not mine (they get all jumbled up with the Christmas cards) but everyone else's a week to 10 days generally.

MrsExpo Mon 17-Jul-17 15:21:39

A week for birthdays.

Christmas cards usually don't make it to 12th night.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 Mon 17-Jul-17 15:23:03

Until I next put cards up grin

FeiYenKansu Mon 17-Jul-17 15:23:32

Only put them up for a day or two when children were small.

I don't like cards on display.

MirandaWest Mon 17-Jul-17 15:23:48

Depends whose birthday.

Generally around a month although as DD and i have our birthdays in the same month, mine only get to stay up for 11 days.

MrsQuim Mon 17-Jul-17 15:25:24

The next day

RortyCrankle Mon 17-Jul-17 15:46:03

I'm with monkeywithacowface - don't put them up but I live alone and don't have children. It's different for them.

joannegrady90 Mon 17-Jul-17 15:47:17

A few days, 3 at most I hate the bloody things 😬

DudeHatesHisCarryOut Mon 17-Jul-17 15:51:35

Mine stayed up for four months! But they looked nice up there.

badg3r Mon 17-Jul-17 16:04:22

AGES! I stick them on a wall because I hate dusting round them, then forget about them till the next birthday ;)

RedStripeIassie Mon 17-Jul-17 16:16:37

I can't believe there's so much card hate! I'm the sort of person that keeps nursery art up on the fridge till there's no more room!

CorporalNobbyNobbs Mon 17-Jul-17 16:21:10

A few weeks and I am a grown up (allegedly) with no kids grin

@Justhadmyhaircut do you have 12 children?!
