What would you have liked as a gift as a mum to be?

My PILs have asked for Birthday and Christmas gift lists from me; my birthday is in August and they're being very organised about Christmas.

I'm very early days into my first pregnancy, all being well I'll be 9.5 weeks on my birthday and around 6 months at Christmas.

My PILs are very generous (I'm very lucky)....what would you have loved to get as a present when you were pregnant the first time?

Initial thoughts are pregnancy massage, some nice maternity/nursing nightwear and lounge wear.

Any other ideas?

A really lovely leather changing bag that has all the bits you need but still looks like a nice (large) handbag.

Mum-to-be spa day

Voucher for some nice maternity clothes

Voucher for hair cut & colour and/or pedicure to be used before baby arrives (it's a nightmare doing your toes when heavily pregnant - and you might not get lots of time for your hair for a while when baby comes)

I like all of Pugwalls suggestions, I'd have loved any of those! A pedicure is definitely a lovely treat when you're heavily pregnant and can't reach your toes!

I loved my pregnancy yoga classes when I was pregnant so they could buy you a voucher for a course? I did the daisy foundation ones.

I got a pregnancy spa package. Specialised massage, facials, face mask etc. Meal included!!

I'm 33 weeks - at this stage I'd love John Lewis (or similar) vouchers for nursing clothes, a haircut/beauty voucher or similar.

I'm 38 weeks, vouchers for maternity/nursing clothes and new bras have been my requests.

A tiba & marl changing bag

Great ideas.

I think I'll ask for a pregnancy spa day, a nice changing bag and some vouchers for maternity/nursing clothes for Christmas.

Then in August maybe some maternity nightwear but might just stick to that as 9 weeks is still early and anything could happen, don't suppose I'd be too happy being stuck with mat clothes if I end up with a MC. Perhaps could ask for Next/M&S vouchers as they do maternity and normal stuff.

If you like fancy nightwear, feel free to get maternity. I just went a couple sizes larger.

I'm already a fatty so not sure going larger is an option sadly without going to some kind of specialist shop with no doubt vile polyester patterned monstrosities

@Tormundsbrow

Just looked at the Tiba and Marl bags ❤️

Definitely added to the list, if only they did Navy though rather than black...

@weeblueberry

I've just saved that as we have slightly unfortunate timing that means we're missing out on our planned amazing honeymoon due to baby. That trip sounds like an amazing alternative.

DP loves to ski, I love a good spa. Could be exactly what we're looking for star

A good box set for all the hours spent pinned to the sofa breastfeeding.
Ditto a good book series - I think I reread the Cazalet Chronicles.

Fancy body washes. A shower will be a luxury moment if your day soon, so make it as lovely as you can!
