There are reports on twitter of explosions at the main station in Brussels.

Nothing on the news sites yet. Let's hope it's a false alarm sad

LookImAHooman Tue 20-Jun-17 20:26:49

Beeb just confirming evacuated but 'under control'

I really really really hope this is a false alarm

beepbeepimasheep Tue 20-Jun-17 20:29:13

I think it's unlikely to be a false alarm :-(

Just seen it on the BBC too.

BigBroIsWatching Tue 20-Jun-17 20:30:45

Sky news alert came through just this seconds, as "police have "neutralised" someone wearing an explosive belt"....in Brussels station.

Fl0ellafunbags Tue 20-Jun-17 20:30:46

Fucks sakes. What next?

barrygibbscheekbones Tue 20-Jun-17 20:32:27

Let's hope 'situation under control' means no casualties

Argeles Tue 20-Jun-17 20:39:13

Will this never fucking end?

PlaymobilPirate Tue 20-Jun-17 20:40:58

What do they mean by 'neutralised' ??

beepbeepimasheep Tue 20-Jun-17 20:41:00

no other casualties apparently.

user1466690252 Tue 20-Jun-17 20:44:31

it looks small, no casualties and under control. thank god, well done Brussels

barrygibbscheekbones Tue 20-Jun-17 20:46:09

Thank God for that, if true,

redshoeblueshoe Tue 20-Jun-17 20:59:01

neutralised - shot dead

whattodowiththepoo Tue 20-Jun-17 20:59:24

You are reporting on this with very little information.

sodablackcurrant Tue 20-Jun-17 21:01:32

Police are becoming a lot quicker at shooting these feckers dead on the spot.

Good. He won't see his seven virgins anyway.

Oh and I support the same tactics for anyone doing something like this no matter what nationality, creed or religion. We need to get our lives back.

PlaymobilPirate Tue 20-Jun-17 21:02:17

whatto who's reporting with little info??

Flyinggeese Tue 20-Jun-17 21:03:30

OP why would you start a thread when you have zero info?

There's always someone who does this whenever there is some kind of incident. Never having checked the news. Just some inane comment and then wait for replies and much 'ooh I hope everything's alright' type comments. What do you want to achieve? Other than to be the first person to have posted if it does turn out to be very serious?

There is little on the net yet. Here from a Belgian newspaper
www.lalibre.be/actu/belgique/tentative-d-attentat-a-bruxelles-l-individu-abattu-aurait-crie-allah-u-akbar-la-situation-sous-controle-suivez-notre-direct-59497155cd70e30bb2708631
He has been shoot, but because of the wires coming out of him/his bag, the explosion team needs to work now.

user1466690252 Tue 20-Jun-17 21:04:43

what flying said!

Flyinggeese Tue 20-Jun-17 21:05:12

Whattodo yep. Always someone who wants to be first of the blocks for potential incidents. Same when a famous person dies.

AntiopeofThemyscira Tue 20-Jun-17 21:05:30

You are reporting on this with very little information

So?

MorrisZapp Tue 20-Jun-17 21:05:45

Yup. What flying said.

BrexitSucks Tue 20-Jun-17 21:06:30

quickly contained incident is good news.

PlaymobilPirate Tue 20-Jun-17 21:07:06

I thought this was a discussion site - nobody is reporting anything!

Thread police - the speculation often lasts for days surrounding these incidents. What facts should we ensure are in place before discussion starts please?

BrexitSucks Tue 20-Jun-17 21:07:12

There's A LOT of info on the Belgium link.
