Would you GOF if your inlaws are staying?

Inlaws are staying with us for a week - they go home on Tuesday. DH and I are ttc and today my ClearBlue Fertility Monitor gave me a high and I got a +ve on an OPK this afternoon. DH has responded by saying that he's not having a GOF with his parents in the house. Just wondered whether other people do or not with parents staying? I'm not sure what I'd do if it were my parents - they live close enough that we don't have that issue!
Let's hope that Tuesday will still be timing it ok!

Well DH has now gone to bed as he says he is v tired. I did wonder whether that was a cue for an "early night" so went to check but no, he was being grumpy and said he was tired. To be fair, he had done a bbq for my parents and his parents today and started paintin the ceiling and walls in our kitchen extension!

V impressed with how many of you brave it. Not so impressed with the realisation that I'm sharing our sex life with the world!

can't believe I'm admitting this but we had an identical dilemma but it was a friend of mine staying in the next room.

In the end, DH did his business in a receptacle then came downstairs and I went up and, you know.

I conceived DD that month

BLIMEY! DD2 was conceived when we were hosting a Kazak student in the next bedroom. Never even considered that it might be impolite to have sex in our house, in our own room, in our own bed whilst someone else was under the same roof.

And we called her Boratina.

At the risk of tmi I would say that I am able to have sex/gof with my dh very quietly. I/we do prefer to make a bit of noise but if necessary (as in your circumstances) then it is possible to be almost silent.

Who is likely to make the noise? If it is me then I just bury my mouth in dh's shoulder at any vital moments and the noise is much reduced.

hellooo wouldn't it have been more embarrassing for your houseguest to have walked in on DH have a sneaky hand-shandy than to have possibly overheard a married couple expressing their lurve for each other in a physical way (as your Sunday School teacher may have called a GOF).

Dh was in our bedroom at the time and I was watching TV downstairs with her. Very unlikely that she would have wandered into our bedroom for no reason!!

We can limit our noise but err.. the bed can be a bit noisy... May have to suggest improvising on the floor.

Anyway, as I said, DH is fast asleep now so not going to happen tonight and I'm out at my SIL-to-be's hen do tomorrow night. Have to hope ov hangs on and Tues is ok!

Guess I was just interested to know how other people felt about this. Seem to be pretty unanimous that you just ignore them and get on with it!
