Sylvanian families, where to start?

My DD who will be 7 in a couple of weeks really wants the oak treehouse for xmas, I personally thinks its a lot of money to spend on a house, there is also Bramble hall that looks quite nice.

I am wondering if this would look right with a nice little family and then wooden dolls house furniture that we have from a dolls house (whick never gets played with!) Several people can get her some proper furniture for it also.

We have the house and the school and all manner of people and furniture are used in it (DD5 and DS3). We keep an eye out an ebay as they sell new and used. Perhaps see if the treehouse is available on there?

Picked up the Boots catalogue this week and you can order Sylvanian Family on line and as part of the 3 for 2 deal.

you can buy the lakeside lodge in the entertainer right now for £30 reduced from £60. mum has got it for my dd's for christmas. also, you can buy a lot of the furniture and figures from ebay.

lakeside lodge looks nice but out of stock, she saw the baby nursery tree thing today and liked it! Not sure what to go for though!

Bankloan or remortgage if you're going down the Sylvanian route.

My DD has asked for Sylvanian families for Xmas. I was a bit dubious at starting a new themed toy collection as she will be 8 in January (getting a bit old?) and has tons of playmobil etc

I've bought her the Sylvanian caravan and car. The caravan is kitted out to a certain extent so less need to buy extra furniture etc although she will need a few figures and stuff. I'm hoping it could be a relatively self contained set and have play value as a standalone toy rather than us getting into a massive collection of stuff. I ordered it a few weeks ago when it £35.99 on amazon - it is still a good price on there but up to £44.98
