I'm going to start with my pathetic offerings & hope someone else helps!

Buying dad and FIL a small gift from the DCs. Saw 'posh' dried fruit in the tesco magazine, apricots dipped in chocolate, figs rolled in coconut - like a box of chocs for dried fruit lovers!

Go on holiday from start of december and come back early january. If you can avoid buying presents, cards, decorations etc, you could prob afford a nice backpacking trip somewhere... ;)

Other than that, Im stumped.

I bought my DH's GM some jars from Sainsburys. They were the Duchy Originals range, and were half price. Got various jams and lemon curd. Thought might be more useful than chocs!

Buy your MiL a large dildo and a pair of slippers. If she doesn't like the slippers, she can go f* herself

Boots have a half price offer each week - this week its a mens No7 skincare gift £40 now £20, also on 3 for 2 so if you buy 3 £40 sets you get them for £40 which is just over £13 each.

Offers change every thursday

Give each person who is coming a job to do - make them jobs you don't want to do. If you do this well you will sit on your bum all christmas day saying 'thank you, how kind' while others scurry round

Cybil, I fall into that trap each year & end up panic buying and wrapping at 11pm on Christmas eve, not going to do that this year!!

Stealth for a large charge I will buy all your presents, wrap them and deliver them for you. In fact, if you are really smart, you can get stores to do this for you

I feel slightly chastened by the fact that I've done most of my gift shopping already, went to put it away and discovered, last January, I did a lot of it in the sales and completely forgot I'd bought stuff

Just bought a joint for Christmas dinner though - bone in been, ginormous - yummy! We don't do turkey. Who wants to eat a bird that looks like your husband's bollocks?

Buy 3 wicker baskets from argos, 3 for £10 so £3 per person then go to poundshop and buy £7's worth of gift sets, bubble bath etc, fill baskets with said goods (and shredded paper to bulk it up) and wrap as a nice pamper gift for someone!

3 gifts for £30!
