Anyone bought a Barbie 'building'?

For Xmas, DD2 wants the Barbie house (200 quid, no way!) the Musketeers Castle or the Hair Salon.

Anyone bought any of this or had any Barbie buildings in the past? I had a look at the Musketeers castle box (non see-thru)and the pic on the front looked like thin plastic and cardboard )and costs 75 pounds.

Basically, what I am asking is are they a pile of shite as I suspect? Do they stand up to play?

Cheers

My DD has the pink one that is about 8ft tall and needs its own room to sit in She, however, loves it as do my nephews

We got it on Ebay for a fraction of the price, still in a box and packaging. It was post Xmas so possibly an unwanted present?

DD has a Barbie aeroplane. I looked at the buildings and decided the plane was a better bet.

i've bought barbie my house

i have also got 2 kitchens!! as on the tesco site it said one of kitchen/bedroom will be supplied. So if you went for this i'd be happy to sell you the kitchen!

It might be worth phoning round some Tesco stores as they may still have some in stock. It was reduced to £12.49!! and is still £44.99 in toys r us when we went in last week.

Alternatively there seemed to be a few new ones kicking aorund on ebay, my guess they bought it for £12.49 off of Tesco and then sold it on for a profit.

My DD also has the townhouse. She got it a couple of years ago, from Woolworths, and it came with a car, a pool, doll, etc. Was a bargain too IIRR.

Just seen the self same set going for well over £120 on ebay - sure my parents got it for £25!

Not sure townhouse is still available in shops. Seems to have been replaced by the My House.
