Bought some stuff for other people in the January sales but now I have got something for DS I have officially started my xmas shopping

What fabby bargains. I havent a clue what to buy my 2 this year so I wouldnt know what bargains to pick up if I seen any. Well done you in getting them now and saving yourself money (altho if you are anything like me you will just allow yourself more money to spend as you havee saved some lol).

DS actually has 2 presents up the loft from last year that I couldn't be bothered to wrap decided were too old for him

DS is only 3 so luckily is at the age that I can buy anything and he will be happy as he doesn't really get the whole birthday/xmas thing yet.

bargainhuntingbetty TBH I do spoil DS quite a bit. When he was born I figured I would only get a few years of him not understanding the value of things and saying I want I want I want so I might aswell make the most of spoiling him before he understands he is being spoilt iyswim. I think this will be my last year though cos I think by next year he will be old enough to start remembering xmas so I don't want him to get used to having lots and lots and come to expect it and take it for granted. I compensate by not spending much on anyone else. Everyone else gets £5 each (or between them if they are a couple) and I actually really enjoy searching and hunting out what I can buy for £5. It's much more fun than going into a shop and randomly selecting any old thing.

Yeahh I actually love hunting for whatt I can get for everyone on their budgets. It is actually amazing whhat you can buy if you really research it and work it out. There is nothing wrong with spoiling your lo you are right, they have far too long demanding things, it is so much nicer when mum gets to pick what they will like, I miss those days,.

I must confess I started mine a couple of months ago. I know what i am going to get for ds to give to his dad and need to get it sorted fairly early due to what it is. As for ds(4 1/2), he is a pita for presents so i pick things up as i see them. He has a couple of books from FC. But as he doesnt believe in fc (never has) I get the thankyou hug which is nice, especialy as last year he told his dad that mummy talks to fc to make sure that he got the right things and that mummy could have the hug and say thankyou to FC it made my day. I have no idea what main he will get but thinking he might get wood and bits for building a go-kart together. He really wants one and would love to help to make one. Plus he will love the extra us time for the making. His dad will probably give his something golf or fishing related but can guarentee that will be bought last minute

I was at the village fete and they had a stall with all PINK stuff, pencil cases, piccy frames etc, they reduced it to HALF PRICE in the end!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one thinking about xmas already lol. Dh thinks I'm mad! I've picked out a few little things for dd and ds, a wooden dolls house for dd and a baby annabel doll I got for half price in Jan sales. Also got some clothes to go with her. Have got ds a draughts set and some jigsaws. His main present, well it's a family present is a wii I also got in a sale earlier in the year.

I am quite ashamed to say that I bought DD1 a Christmas present in Tesco yesterday.

The ice cream shop playdoh set for £14.97

In my defence, I do seem to remember people going mad for it on ebay last Christmas (that's my excuse anyway!)

I have also ordered PJ's, slippers and gift sets in the next sale to give as either birthday or Christmas gifts.

See I couldn't be bothered to go to the next sale. Unless you go the first morning it's on then it's a waste of time and I was at work so couldn't.

I got a VIP invite for the on-line sale so managed it from the comfort of my own home

Picked up the new Argos book today and have been enjoying picking things for DS. He'll pick his own ideas closer to the time but I like to choose my own ideas as well. Lukily most of the Argos things are on Amazon as they package far better on home delivery.

Have some things already in the loft from sales so have started for him and will start this month for the favourite items so no last minute stock problems.

Have the majority of family/teachers presents so only really DS and DH to do.

I am already having the panic about how i will afford christmas this year....

It seems harder as they get older, it must be fun with little ones, i can hardly remember!!!

Mine are teenagers now and i still like to get them lovely presents but things seem to cost so much more and the things they like are always more expensive. I can't get things in the sale, toys etc., like i used to

Have now also picked up a book, thomas bath squirter, some thomas take alongs, spaceship wellies, a noddy washcloth, paints, paintbrushes and a painting book.

Got loads of Thomas books for £20 and a little tractor for DS and 4 large leaf shaped bowls which were half price in Debenhams so only a fiver each.

Just got to get my sister and her boyfriend's and a few more for DS.

I started last week. I bought a scarf thing for dd's stocking for 50p in the sale in Primark. They also had a fab large round toiletry bag with a handle, its oilcloth with union jacks on it and surprisingly for Primark the zips on it, are real good quality. That was £3.50.

Also got ds a transformer book from T K Maxx.

I live over 800 miles from family and normal spend about £40 alone on postage so this year I have decided to buy them all either restaurant vouchers (Pizza Express etc) or Game vouchers, to cut out delivery costs down.

Was it you who had a DS still in a pushchair in reception? I'm glad there are other older children still in them lol. I was wondering if he is out of his pushchair yet and if so at what age did he stop going in it?

Yip that was me. He takes after dh and is quite tall for his age,so he did look kind of ridiculous, but when you don't drive and it is raining buckets sometimes it is the only option. I stopped using it in April of this year, when he was 5. It has since been taken to the skip. He now uses his metal scooter all the time and we took his stabillisers of his bike and he just jumped on and took off - with dd it took ages for her to get the hang of it! LOL

You will get people in rl and on here telling you not to get them out of a pram asap, but 99% of them will be car drivers .
