mulled wine - do you honestly like it ?

It always disappoints me if I'm offered mulled wine - would rather a decent glass of untampered with red

yes I do! made it for the first time last christmas and will be making it again. I am a sucker for seasonally appropriate drinks .

I would maybe draw the line at Snowballs for Christmas but otherwise I will drink for the occasion!

I love it, but know people who hate it so always offer "untampered with" as well as mulled.

yep love it, but only when its proper mulled wine

not that nasty stuff for £2.99 from the supermarket that is only about 6% alcohol!

I make my own and it is potent!

scaryfucker is right. It has to be well made otherwise you get a load of tickly grit at the back of your throat. The well made stuff is fantastic though - fills the room with all those smells that create an image of christmases you'd like to be able to remember but somehow can't...
