A Liverpool season ticket. But he knows he'd never get it.
He hasn't mentioned ANYTHING he wants, so he'll get a few books and some nice clothes in all likelyhood.

a motorbike or an airedale terrier, apparently [hmm}
realise these are not helpful ideas....the most successful things i've ever bought him were a leather weekend bag which he used all the time for work trips etc; and an old copy of the cover of a magazine he was once on (accidentally, he's not famous or anything - it was a crowd picture). and a boxed set of godfather dvds was popular.
the years i've given up and bought jumpers in desperation have not been highlights.
