naff plastic wins out hands down on tasteful wood

dont get the argos one its naff..dd1 got it when she was 12mths and it tipped over, the handle doesnt tighten properly so constantly slipped up or down both dds then refused to use it.
Wood is nice but expensive I got a pram from tescos for £12 and its lovely and both dds[2.9 and 20mths] love it

neither one, they are both horrid! What about a £5 jobbie from ELC? then they can eventually follow you to shops pushing buggy beside you

the argos one is also especially bad for new walkers as there is nothing sturdy to lean on.The tescos one I got is like this

IME the fragile £5 biggies collapse break because toddlers try to sit in them.

we have a lot of buggies ( for dolls)

most long lasting (7 years) has been a plastic carry cot one on a fixed ( non collapsible) base

Ime 1 is a little bit young for a doll's prm unless they are very confident walkers.

We have this one from Ikea. As you can see the wheels are adjustable and it's very safe and hardwearing. I know it's not a dolls pram but it has all sorts of uses!

yes the top one. dd2 is small[just in 12-18mth stuff] and it is just the right height for her.

My dd had just a standard £5 buggy when she started walking and she absolutely loves it. We have sent the my first pram from ELC to santa for her and she will be 22 months then, its a lovely small pram similar to buggy style and would be suitable for a smaller child. Think it is 2+ though.

frankenstein I just started a thread on this - whether to get a cheap and nasty one or a lovely wooden one - EVERYONE said the children always go for the cheap plastic pink ones so as much as I'd love to get her the wooden one, I'm going to go for what she would prefer.

Definitely the wooden one. At one year old she will need it to be a walker as well. You don't want one that will tip up if she pulls herself up by the handle. And the wooden one is much nicer!

I got the pintoy one for my dds 1st bday. Its good because you can use it as a walker but now she is older I would rather have a light plastic one that she could leave outside.

It's a bargain, if someone had bought me one as a child i would still be using it. That would have been 30 years use, excellent value for money.

Of course my one year old ds just recently got a £4.99 buggy from Mothercare, he loves it

ELC £5 job gets the vote for me too. So far ours has lasted 2 children and endless toddlers squeezing themselves into it, plus it folds down and can get taken on holiday/to the park/shopping etc. Fab...

I agree with getting a £5 one as soon enough they will want a branded one like annabell or baby born so save your money she is young. my dd5 had a £5 for her 1st birthday and still sometimes gets it out to play with now even though she has a baby annabell pram.
