Hooray! One more to get. Very easy a quick trip to the high street. A couple on their way in the post.

Okay to be honest I only had to buy for DD(19), DH and a little gift for a friend. My elderly cat wants nothing except sleep. But I also have to juggle a chronic painful and exhausting condition too. So there are days it’s hard to remember my own date of birth.

For DD
Pandemic game (it’s actually quite a positive game, co-operating to fight the Pandemic so the name didn’t put me off)
Henna kit
Pangolin sponsorship through Born Free
Professional drawing pad
Just need to get a decent photo of our cat printed a put in a frame for her

DH
Books: one by John Crace and Empireland
Dressing Gown

Friend:
Little box Hotel chocolat
Jo Brand book: Born Lippy

I used to be very fussy about wrapping neatly (not that anyone cared). Now my hands have worsened it’s a case of as neat as feasible. But thankfully I am not going to attempt to wrap the dressing gown. It can stay in the M&S bag it arrived in. 😂

Anyone done? Nearly done. Half way. Not even started. I’m just nosey by nature. 🤣🎄

Done and wrapped, I like to have it all done by the 1st so I can then focus on food and seeing friends

I am usually finished by now but am way behind this year.

Still have to buy for parents, 3 nephews and token gifts for my siblings.

Nothing is wrapped yet.

Theres a storm due here tomorrow and I'm hoping my electric/wifi will go down because they take ages for the suppliers to reconnect them so I'd likely get a day off work and be able to finish it all.

Lots still to do, and nothing is wrapped. Cards are written but not posted. Still need to get:
My mum - she says a warm, waterproof coat
DS -something decent, and stocking bits
My bestie-one more nice thing ( we always buy a few things for each other)
FIL-a jumper, need to go to M&S
Work secret Santa- who knows??!
Godson-a hoodie
DH’s friend- I don’t know, am hoping he will have a bright idea (Reader, he won’t).
Another good friend- need to go to Jo Malone

I’ve gone from PT to FT hours this year. I miss my weekday shopping trips!

Me!

Just need to wrap the blasted things (and by this weekend, because that's the last time I'll be seeing my family before Christmas, as it's the IL's turn).

I do need to tot up what I've bought for the DCs and even it up with cash. DD1 sent me a long list, so she's winning at the moment.

Finished shopping for my dh and dc.

Dh has his parents to buy for, that’s not my responsibility. I imagine he’ll leave it until Christmas Eve 🙄

We don’t buy for anyone else.

I have finished shopping. Some wrapping done, which I have enjoyed so far. Quite a bit of wrapping to do so it may get tedious, but trying to take a few quiet moments to wrap things slowly and nicely. Quite a relaxing thing to do when DP is looking after the little ones!

One of my children hasn’t given me his list yet, and he’s very fussy so no guessing. I think he may end up with cash in a Japanese Puzzle box. I’m also covering out of hours throughout Christmas ( foster carer) so I have some generic stockings for each age group but will be expecting to do a last minute dash too. I’m not sorted food wise at all yet and haven’t got a delivery slot so I at least need to get the crisps and quality street etc. my biggest worry is getting Covid over the next couple of weeks and being stuck in.

I finished buying in October! Almost all are wrapped, tagged and bagged. Going to try to wrap and tag what's left tonight while DD is asleep. I buy a few extra gifts each year in case I forget people so I'll check if I have...

I thought I had bar a light up beanie for DH but I realised I'd forgotten a present for my god daughter (aged 8, has way too much stuff) and DD godfather's DS (just started secondary, quite geeky).

I'm more or less done, and mostly wrapped too. I need to get a gift for the dog and cat's stockings (no comments please, I know it is ridiculous but the dc insist they need one) and I also need a gift for the dc from the dog.

I like to have everything sorted early as December can be stressful enough.

JustLarkinAbout · 06/12/2021 22:12

Yes, I'm done Grin bar one gift that I'll order mid-month so it arrives directly to the recipient, from the bookshop, nearer to Christmas. But it's been selected. I always do it early or I find it far too stressful and it spoils the whole month of December.

I’m waiting for one parcel to arrive, should be here on Wednesday and I’ve an iPad case to buy, I’ll order it tomorrow so should be here this week. I’m card writing tomorrow and might start wrapping too.
