Hi, what are you getting your tweens as an advent calendar? Mine doesn't want chocolate and has always had Playmobil but feel like she's too old for that now. She's not really into make up yet except a bit of experimentation. I'm thinking maybe something like Paperchase, but was wondering if people had other ideas?

This year mine (12 and 14) are getting:

  • Escape room advent calendar (joint)
  • Smiggle advent calendar
  • K pop photo card advent calendar (got it on Etsy)

I gave up on advent calendars when they didn't open theirs one year. It's quite liberating not to feel like I need to look for one! I'm thinking stockings may go the same way (ds are 11 and 15 so beyond the believing years!)

I have got my DD the Holland and Barratt one. Not sure if it’s suitable for a tween but we’ll share the stuff and she’ll share the stuff from my calendar.

My DS would love the marshmallow one, thanks!

Body shop is great for that age group. No make up, bath stuff but also hair bands, body polisher etc.

Thanks everyone, I think crystals could be really nice. She's not that into baths and pampering yet and weirdly dislikes marshmallows!

@Bellyfat which crystal one did you get?

I ended up getting an Avon jewellery one. It's pretty cheap and cheerful but she's about to get her ears pierced, and it has 12 pairs earrings and a necklace with 12 charms so b should be quite cute.

@loobylou44 this crystal one looks good, but be warned that the 24 day one is double the price.

I see you have a DD but I got my DS11 a build your own electronic games calendar. You have to wire all the components to make the games. If she’s into that sort of thing. I have got my DD a beauty one as she loves those.

I have bought ds 17 an electronic games so be this year, hoping he likes it such little choice for boys (who are picky eaters!!). Dd 13 has got a body spray one which looks lovely

I make them. When she was 11 I did an earring one for my oldest. Last year the youngest had a mix of bath bombs body sprays etc. will do similar this year.

@2anddone I hope it’s good. It says 14+ so we will have to help DS with it but he’s into that stuff so hopefully will learn something.
