I have one of these and I feel your pain (she's 7 1/2)
I think I'm getting them both off-brand child sized Oodies.
They are getting a playroom makeover (swings, climbing wall, sofa you can build into a den).
She and DS will probably ask for loads of soft toys.
After that probably board games, books, and clothes for her Lottie dolls.

Oh and DD Christmas list every year just says "chocolate coins".

My dd is of a similar age, she wrote her list in August!! On it are Polly pockets, lego friends, a jewellery box, lego dots, a new bike and a kids garmin. I’m considering a princess type canopy to go over her bed. She reckons her best present ever was for her 6th birthday when she got an art desk, if your girls are arty it’s great. Gets used daily and is fully adjustable

Oh that looks nice, my DD does her art at her place at the dining table - there would be room in the playroom for this but I suspect that DS would use it for his Lego and if he was installed he'd growl at DD (she is a wimp, so she'd scream, then his sensitive hearing would be set off and he'd get cross and we'd have chaos...)

My dds both really liked lego friends about that age. Roller skates, tie dye set, polymer clay and a build a bear voucher were well received too.

DD 7 is getting a switch and a stunt scooter this year. She also loves Lego friends, craft sets and she’s just starting to get into Harry Potter.
We went out at the weekend and she completely fell in love with an our generation doll so think I’ll get her the doll and some accessories too

I think my DD would like tie dye 👍
She doesn't much like games on her tablet (which DS has just broken 🤦) so I'm not sure a device (even if more for fun than homework) would really be up her start.

Also - when you get the ice cream truck could you let me know if it could plausibly be used with a 20cm seated cuddly animal as the driver/server (if the stool was ignored)?
My son's best cuddly has had a very vocal lifelong ambition to become an ice cream truck driver once he is no longer needed in bed etc, if he'd fit completely inside this toy and be able to see over the counter propped up on his back legs I could make his dream come true...

BestZebbie The ice cream truck is for the our generation dolls which are 45cm tall. We have the food truck and they can stand inside it so 20cm might be a bit small but he could sit on the stool?

BestZebbie · 12/10/2021 22:40

Thanks, that is helpful! I am never quite sure how doll scale corresponds to cuddly scale as eg: the cuddly is definitely shorter than a Barbie but about six Barbies could stand in the floor space he takes up once you include four legs and a tail.
