Advent Calendars 2021 - anything new on the horizon?

I'm always late to the advent calendar thing and only remember about November when they've sold out.

Not too into the beauty ones myself, but would be happy with a tea, chocolate - fancy! - or other edible sort. Marshmallows I've seen in previous years. Jewellery making also has its charms.

Got your eye on anything good?

I got dh the Joe and Sephs one last year and he absolutely loved it.
Also, a plasticine one from Lakeland for DD3 was a big hit.
Body Shop ones were a bit of a let down, far too much hand cream!

Any suggestions for interesting ones for older teen 17-19 boys?

Prefer food or drink to anything plastic.

Its the usual LOL surprise one for us plus there is a new fidget advent out this year that seems popular. I have no idea about mine as I dont use much make up or eat chocolates. I like Yankee but its usually the tiny tealight ones which don't have too much scent.

@WeAllHaveWings Pork scratching www.snafflingpig.co.uk/products/pork-crackling-scratching-advent-calendar (this was last year’s calendar but I’m sure they’ll do similar this year)

Watching. I just buy one for DS and have learned from bitter experience not to leave it late (TK Maxx was my saviour at the end of November a few years ago - calendar was a winner, but I wouldn't recommend the stressful shopping experience!)

@Ricekrispie22 - some fab suggestions there, thank you! Wondering about the Joe & Seph's - we had 2 big jars of their popcorn last Christmas and they were fab. I suppose it would be overkill to buy the same again and their advent calendar? Xmas Grin

I'm very tempted by the Bonne Maman one. Not least because I'd reuse the little jars...

I have a woodland themed one from Meri Meri which I love and have to make myself put away after Christmas each year.

It looks like they have two for this year on their site but they can often be found on ebay etc.

@WeAllHaveWings

I saw a really cool escape room advent calendar. It's not food or drink though but it's not plastic either. I think you get a clue a day to help you escape. I can't find the link but I think it was on amazon.

The escape advent is Exit: the advent calendar. I really like the exit games so we have bought oneQl!
