Christmas decoration for front window

Hello all,
We have an enthusiastic bouncy labrador puppy and so this year have decided not to put up our (fake) Christmas tree as we have nowhere to put it that would not be in her way in our small house.

Instead I thought it might be nice to have a tallish Christmas decoration in each of our front windows. It's a modern house and so the window sills are only 20cm deep, and could go up to 1m in height maximum. I'd quite like if if they were illuminated but it's not essential.

Has anyone seen anything suitable? I've looked at table top Christmas trees but haven't seen any I like.

Thanks

I have a lamp which I have a paper fold out star shade from IKEA on which will sit in the middle of our window. I also string across some lights which I attach lightweight baubles to it at differing lengths. I have some other decorations which may or may not go on the sill this year. Our old cat has almost gone blind but eats his food on there, so I need to still make it accessible for him.

We have light up window silhouettes that we use suckers to attach to the windows

@cyclingwife How about something like this if you can hang inside the windows and if you have sockets you could put the fairy lights over them and then hang decorations or wind some ivy or stick some fir bits and pieces in it I think Dunelm have something similar but a wee bit smaller and less expensive.

Otherwise a vase that fits on the window ledge with branches of holly and fir tree and decorate that - sometimes places will have off cuts from Christmas trees you can get very reasonably or if you are buying something else they may even give you those things.

@dementedpixie light up window silhouettes sound ideal, so the dog can't knock them over if she rushes to the window to look out. Off to google thanks.

@longtompot yes we have sills that need to be relatively free in case the dog jumps up. I'm wondering if I could decorate/ Christmasify one of our spare lamps sitting in the loft that I was going to chuck out. Think I might try pinterest for some ideas. Thanks for the inspiration

@BasiliskStare thanks. I do like the idea of a large vase, which I could re use other times of the year. I could put some of my Christmas baubles to keep the branch upright. Thanks for the idea
