Mini fridge recommendations

I've seen people mention they're getting their DC a mini fridge for their bedroom. Would anyone mind sharing a link to a good, preferably bargainous one?!

My recommendation is don't get one - I got one for Dd a few years ago and ai think she used it once to chill a can of Diet Coke. Biggest waste of money.

I've ordered one for DS from www.minifridge.co.uk/
I am pretty sure he will use it as likes his drinks chilled but can't be arsed leaving the Xbox and coming downstairs... time will tell! Anyway it was a good price, arrived quickly and looks great!

I can't link as I'm on my phone but we've bought a pink little subcold one from Amazon for DD for £39 . Really pleased with it but it's tiny

After having a cheap 30 one i wouldnt recommend BUT last year i bought this one for about 50 and love it. Its bigger but its not as good as a big frige, ok for drinks but i wouldnt put food in it, also noisy but i have a fan on so doesnt bother us

Thanks. I never considered the noise aspect also I know the clue is in the name but when I used a measuring tape to see exactly how mini they are, they're tiny!! I'm not sure I'll get one now...

I was about to ask that. How noisy are there? I want to eventually get one for my bathroom to put my fridge only toiletries in. But I am super sensitive to noise and don't want to be trying to relax in the bath listening to a fridge.

My son has one which we use as an overflow fridge, mainly in at Christmas. It eats electricity though.

I think it's a hugely pointless gimmicky present. What will they keep in them that they can't keep cold in an insulated reuseable water bottle? I can only think it would be good for cans of soft drink or alcohol and I wouldn't want to encourage that just for bedtime drinking or see what they can't be kept in the main fridge. Just a waste of energy and noisy too.

I bought the coca cola one on offer at £37. It'll go in my sons game room as I don't want him to have one in his bedroom.

It really is very mini and holds 4 cans. Ice already told him that it'll be switched in at weekends and have a couple of cans on there and there it... he's only 13 and I don't want him swigging cans of Coke all week long which I know he'll do given half the chance! So it's worthwhile thinking about how happy you are for your child to have access to cans of drink all the time

My teen boys have had these in their rooms for a few years now. They love them. Theyy always have Kilner bottles filled with water in. The 17 year old keeps chocolate and biscuits(!) in his, the 15 your old has a stash of yoghurts in his . Fab gift IMHO. Not noisy.

The one I bought holds 2 x 2 litre bottles and 6 cans but I think he'll have a combination of fizzy drinks and snacks like mini said she's, yoghurts, sausage rolls etc in it. He's nearly 19 so if he wants the odd beer in there then that's fine by me!
