I have a few friends i'd like to gift something small and cheap this Xmas. What are some token gifts you'd like to receive and would actually use?

Chocolate is always a winner for me Grin either that or really nice soap/shower gel.

Candle, Hand cream or Chocolate would be a nice treat.

I like Molton Brown baubles, or a box of Lindors.

I dont like hand cream/smelly gifts as I ahve my own preferences. Theres a reason these all end up at tthe school fair!

If you all drink wine, I'd buy everyone a wine glass charm (or split up a boxed set) then pip a note in to say something along the lines "to be used when we are next allowed to share a bottle together"

The small £12 Winter votive candles from The White Company.
Or some pink peppercorn shower gel from Molton Brown.

They're not token gifts.
They're just gifts.

Candles, chocolate, spirits (if you drink).

I love a toiletries gift set but only if it's something I know I like. It depends on the person so it's a hard one to answer.
I wouldn't want chocolate or flowers.

Depends how much you want to spend - a nice bar of chocolate or bar of soap? Would be very happy with the florentines mentioned up thread!

Wine, chocolates, a book... Would need to know tastes though.

A bar of beautifully packaged lovely smelling soap from tk maxx. I always admire them when I go in there.

Hand cream, soap, cheese, candle. Not chocolate or booze.

You know your friends better than we do though!

And either some people didn’t notice you said cheap or these things are very relative but PMSL at some of the suggestions Grin

Might help to include your budget.

Op what do you call a token? Under £10?
I will go for either a book or chocolates. But would love to get some homemade food. Jam/biscuits/brownie

Nice chocolates or similar edible treats, a cat safe plant or flowers, a book if they know me well enough to choose something I'd be interested in. Same goes with things like crystals, glass paperweights etc if they know what I might like, rather than generic. Aromatherapy oils can be lovely to relieve too

I'm another whose fussy about toiletries, so gifts of those tend to end up in charity shops. Though I was very grateful to find a bath bomb set I'd missed from SIL mid lockdown when I'd ran out & couldn't get anything I like. Never appreciated a boring bath bomb & bubble bath so much as I did at that moment 😂

I also make my own votives & melts with high oil content, so candles wouldn't interest me personally, but I do know they are gratefully received when I give them to others, as I've had friends & family ask for more for birthdays etc

I’d like some nice slipper socks. I know a lot of people don’t like gifts like that, but I’d love some!

Oh & definitely cheese. I was once gifted a whole Wokey Hole aged cheddar, I was chuffed to bits to receive that

Chocolates or a candle. Wine if it was one I liked.
Not toiletries, I give these away at earliest opportunity.
