About 3 weeks ago. It's not usually this early, but this year I want to be organised by end of October

I started in July this year. I normally start in Sept/Oct. I should think earlier is better this year..

Late November after all the birthdays (bloody billions in our family Sept-Nov). I can’t face it before then.

Boxing Day sales, we have fourteen birthdays between October and Christmas and one more due this year, I have to start early or I wouldn't be able to afford to buy for everyone and I love a bargain Smile

Sounds like a good plan! 👍

September - October is when I buy the bulk of the presents then I get complacent and leave a few bits until early December! Wrap as I go, can't stand a huge pile of wrapping to do all at once.

pretty much all year, I tend to start from January sales onwards rather than boxing day sales. Im glad the bargain threads on here are pretty much active from August onwards as they usually contribute to a bulk of items and ideas! X

@Royalinsider
It is a good plan, it's just finding somewhere to put it all Smile
We also have eleven birthdays between January 6th and the first week of February.

December. I hate doing any Christmas stuff early, except making cake and pudding. Makes me feel like the year is going even quicker than it already does. Plus: humbug.

Funnily enough I have started this weekend. I certainly don’t want to cancel Christmas but COVID has made a difference to our finances and I don’t want to make assumptions about friends and families finances at this time.
So I’m thinking about small thoughtful non-wasteful non expensive gifts that aren’t just gift cards (not that I have much against gift cards if they feel right.

Honestly I think home made fudge might score highly Confused would you hate to receive that in a nice box?

August, I am about 60% done.
Like everything purchased by end October. Tend to twitch and add treats in Black Friday sales abs have it all wrapped by 10th December.

I shop all year and start whenever I see something I know someone would like. Last year it was Boxing Day other years it’s March it really does just depend.

Around july/August, spread the cost a bit.

@Dontsaykwen - homemade fudge would score highly with me. I love "consumable" gifts (as long as the giver has some idea of how to make them!)
I've had gifts of chutney, jam, fruit gins etc - all got eaten eventually
