Ideas for a four year old girl?

My daughter will be four in December and I’m after some ideas for Christmas and birthday. She has a kitchen and wooden doll house plus loads of peppa pig stuff and we are ok for garden stuff.
So far I’ve thought of the singing Ariel doll and a fairytale bookset plus some Kids makeup as she loved that last year. She doesn’t talk much so I also want to get things that may encourage her speach.

My daughter is 4 too :)
I have got her already, toy story figures from father Christmas. I have got her pjs and fluffy socks for her xmas eve box. I currently plan on getting her some schleich bayala figures, a remote control car (there is a really cute pink beetle on amazon), some books, wooden puzzle and an alpha blocks wipe clean book :)
She has also asked for a barbie!! Haha but shes only asked once, I'll get her one if she asks nearer the time :)x

My dd is 4 and a half. She's obsessed with sylvanian families. We also bought lots of dairy garden things for her to help make a fairy garden in a plant pot. Also loves baby dolls

My 4 year old will be nearly 5. She is getting a new scooter, the game ‘Operation’, Barbie doctor/medical clinic ambulance, Nat Geo animal jigsaw, Brambly Hedge book set, Usborne lift the flap periodic table book and a Lego dots jewellery box set. She will have a small stocking with some bits and bobs in.
Moana Lego for her birthday which is very close to Christmas.

My 4yo will be getting yet more Lego, small Sylvanians and Playmobil sets to complement what she (and her older sister) already have, beginner stilts (she has the cups with ropes already and is ready for a bigger challenge), a LOL pet, another polly pocket, and some books.

The marble run suggested up thread is a good choice as are the easier board games like Hungry Hippos, Fishing/hook a fish game, Buckaroo, Pop up Pirate, Guess Who, and Kerplunk (we have all of these already). We also taught both her and 6yo DD1 how to play Uno this summer which they are both now obsessed with, and I know they would enjoy the Dobble we have in the cupboard too if they ever allow another card game get a look in!
She also likes My Little Pony, dress up, and Shopkins (these are extortionate new and crap IMO, but you can buy a job lot second hand very cheaply)

If your DD likes the Peppa figurines & playsets, it might be worth trying Sylvanian Families: very cute with smaller and more detailed accessories than you get with Peppa. You can often get cheap discounted sets in TKMaxx, or FB Marketplace if you are happy with second hand. They are really well made (DCs have my childhood Sylvanians as well as their own as mine have lasted) and would offer a good longevity of interest.

DD will be 3.6

Her main present (courtesy of the grandparents!) is a pedal bike

Her list from me is:
A Djeco jigsaw puzzle
A set of Hatley pyjamas
A decent kids rucksack for walking
Books

Father Christmas is deciding between a toy farm or a Playmobil set

Re encouraging speech, I think toys like Playmobil or Sylvanian families might be good as your DD might do role play with them.

Books with very few words so that when you read a bedtime story there is more room for discussion/say what you see. The Caroline Rabei series of illustrated Walter de la Mare poems are absolutely beautiful and great for this (there's one called 'Snow' which would be perfect for Christmas).

Other ideas that my DD already has and absolutely loves:

Train set
Melissa & Doug 'bead bouquet'
Orchard farm games

Corolle dolls are lovely - I think that will be DD's main present next year

DD will be getting: a CD player and some CDs so she can listen to music (Disney and Classical) and audio books at her leisure.

Some party clothes and pyjamas (stuff she'd normally get anyway, but fancier as they're a gift).

A couple of Orchard games.

200 felt tip pens and some other crafting stuff.

New grips and streamers for her scooter.

Zootropolis figurines.

  • A Christmas stocking from the big man

My son will be 4 in December, he is getting a Kindle Fire, a lot younger than his siblings for having a tablet but I have wished he had one now and during earlier lockdown while all our usual preschool groups and activities are closed. Other toys he loves are colour changing cars or any colour changing toys, his sister was the same at 4. Both have loved Baby dolls at 4, particularly Baby Born as you can feed her and bath her. Both are eyeing up the new Luvabella mealtime magic doll this year. And playdough sets are really popular here too with my 3 and 6 year old. Particularly any food related ones, the popcorn one is a big hit here, so I tend to always get a new Playdoh set at Christmas.

Thank you for the replies. Lots of good ideas which is especially useful when her birthday is so close. She has an older brother so have stuff like marble run already but will definitely try and look for a game or puzzle for her to do. She’s also at the age where everything on tv she wants.

Sorry if it's been mentioned as I'm just replying quickly, but regarding encouraging her to talk - as a stocking filler I'm getting my DD some lovely little fairytale story dice. There are a few dice and basically you roll them and sort of construct a story so it really encourages story telling and imagination and gets them filling in the gaps and making their own stories :)

The 'You Choose' series of books are good for getting them talking. My 4yo and 6yo love them (although I have read them so many times I find them very tedious now!).

@INeedNewShoes thank you so much for mentioning those books, they are really lovely and I've never heard of them before
