I have been thinking about this too, we have been visiting the same one since 2014, and I think this will be my sons last year of believing. I think some may go ahead but will look rather different. Maybe single family groups and a 2 metre distance from Santa?Hmm

I dont think many places will be doing santa this year. We usually go to thursford and they have a festival of light this year and the spectacular is cancelled till 2021.

A lot of the popular santa experiences around here have already announced they wont be running this year 😢

I'm not expecting to do be able to do a santa visit this year, or our usual panto.

I think it will be a quieter year for us which isn't a bad thing.

I think it will help me be creative with doing other things, always end up over scheduling days out in December and then missing out on the simple things, like baking, crafts, etc.

Anyone have any Covid friendly Christmas activity ideas?

I believe Santa is in the shielded category, or perhaps just the vulnerable category, due to being morbidly obese. Perhaps he will do Zoom calls instead...

Apostropheuse nailed it with the zoom calls, already you can pay for Santa to bring send you personalised messages so I guess that business will boom.

Very true. We've just spent a fortune on lapland UK, it will probably be the last year of dd believing.

I really hope it goes ahead!!

We usually do the Santa Express, waiting to see if it run this year. Maybe we will just do letters this year.

We’re planning on getting Grandpa to dress up and visit us this year Grin should be hilarious for the rest of us if nothing else! Ours are still tiny though so won’t question it.

For everyone's info there is an online santa message you can set up at PNP (portable north pole). You don't have to pay as there are free videos and calls but there are premium access ones too which cost. It's all personalised and DD loves it. My DF has done this for all the grandkids every year for 10 years.

Suspect we will book a festival of light somewhere. There is also talk of a village snowman trail as our scarecrow trail was cancelled.

Gutted the boxing day dip has been cancelled in cromer. We love doing that. Even though the water is fucking freezing.
