Morning. Welcome to our new thread.

We maybe have rain today. I really hope we do! I have no ides when we last had it.

I'm baking with the kids today plus potting some plants on. Exciting. No idea where they'll go, mind you!

Only 2 days left of furlough. Yaaay for the financial side and booooo otherwise! 😂

New thread!

Morning.

It's not raining here today, sadly. I want a proper pour down now to clear the air. All we had yesterday was a few wee showers.

Have you looked on eBay, Most? I get my JC ones for about 1/3 RRP on there.

It's not properly raining here. Cold though; the car says 6°. Proper rain is forecast later on, however.

I can vouch for Firefly...but am I trustworthy?! 🤔😂 I too have an SRA profile for public consumption, if required!

Firefly I have pm'd you, thank you Flowers

Back from our weekly trip to Morrisons. We went a bit earlier, which may not necessarily the best of ideas. It was still quiet, no queue to get in, but DH remarked that a lot of people seem to have a death wish no perception of 2m/6ft Hmm
They've got everything back in stock now - loo rolls, pasta, rice, beans etc and I don't think there are limits on how many you can buy.
Roast Chicken dinner today. I may have to fight the cats off with a drumstick. Grin

Morning. Raining here too.

Seen another job I want to apply for. Nhs but I don't meet the essential criteria. Wondering if I should even bother.

I would, Wreck, unless it's a vitally important medical skill you don't have.

I used to recruit for non clinical roles in the NHS. What is the essential criteria you don't meet? Some aren't actually that essential!

WreckTangled · 28/04/2020 11:18

Maths GCSE C Blush but I am due to do the functional skills equivalent in the summer in my current role which I would want to continue doing and experience in the role that it's for Hmm

I think if you make sure to explain that you are doing that qualification you should be ok as long as they don't get a lot of very highly qualified applicants with loads of relevant experience.

WreckTangled · 28/04/2020 11:32

That's the thing isn't it, it all depends on who you're up against Hmm

I'll try and post them either today or tomorrow, boots (depending when I get motivated to walk to the post box Grin)

Wreck DH is NHS and has applied for quite a few where he doesn't meet all the criteria - he's got at least half. I'd apply, and explain about the qualification in your covering letter. If they like the rest of your CV they might be willing to accept that you'll be doing the Maths over the summer.

Thanks for the new thread Fluffy

Firefly Love that highland coo - I really want to crochet myself a mini one for my desk in work and I like the big colourful paintings of them you can get but I also don't want people to think I'm collecting them and end up buying me all sorts of rubbish related to them 😂

MrsMad I am jealous of your fried egg sarnie, I love them but never think to make myself one.

Wreck what an awkward lesson for your DD.

I would apply for the job anyway - what's the worst that could happen?

It's been raining overnight here with no sign of it stopping. It's gone cold too, even DH has put a jumper on - he's still walking around in shorts though 🙄

Thank you for finishing the old thread, Crazy!

We've just filled the Victoria sponge (using homemade strawberry jam) and dairy-free buttercream. The kids love it, thankfully!

I need to go and pot things on now. The excitement!

The cake looks amazing Fluffy. I can't be bothered to bake at the moment though or I would make one myself. Not sure I have enough flour either.

Pouring with rain here which makes a change.

Good afternoon everyone 😃
Terrible morning up Mum & Bob's . Have been led a merry dance by the two of them. They have been 'tidying' up . Consequently l can't find anything. The phone wouldn't work when we got there and for most of the time we were there it was beeping to tell us it wasn't working FFS Hmm. Bob had turned the feeder plug off by the telly. He has a double socket running from the sofa to the telly plug not on the mains it's a make shift affair Hmm it's like Steptoes yard there honestly! Mum had the now on her and looked like a mad woman with her hair brushed flat. She said to me when l was looking for her drugs and things , 'don't untidy that l tidied it all up yesterday' FFS , she said that on purpose to bait me but l didn't take her up on it.
That cake looks amazing Fluffy.
I can't be bothered to bake at the moment either Why
because of the devil of a day up Mum & Bob's and am totally pissed off Hmm
