Morning. Welcome to our new thread.

We maybe have rain today. I really hope we do! I have no ides when we last had it.

I'm baking with the kids today plus potting some plants on. Exciting. No idea where they'll go, mind you!

Only 2 days left of furlough. Yaaay for the financial side and booooo otherwise! ๐Ÿ˜‚

New thread!

It's not raining here today, sadly. I want a proper pour down now to clear the air. All we had yesterday was a few wee showers.

Mrsmadevans Tue 28-Apr-20 08:10:19

Fluffy thank you for the new thread ๐Ÿ˜

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear Tue 28-Apr-20 08:45:33

Thanks for the new thread fluffy smile

Properly raining here and is due to do so most of the day so going to have a day of TV and art and craft smile

Might start looking at Christmas cross stitches as my summer one is coming along great smile

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear Tue 28-Apr-20 08:53:20

Ooh I like this one but it is expensive!

NoWordForFluffy Tue 28-Apr-20 09:13:30

Have you looked on eBay, Most? I get my JC ones for about 1/3 RRP on there.

It's not properly raining here. Cold though; the car says 6ยฐ. Proper rain is forecast later on, however.

I can vouch for Firefly...but am I trustworthy?! ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‚ I too have an SRA profile for public consumption, if required!

Firefly I have pm'd you, thank you flowers

Back from our weekly trip to Morrisons. We went a bit earlier, which may not necessarily the best of ideas. It was still quiet, no queue to get in, but DH remarked that a lot of people seem to have a death wish no perception of 2m/6ft hmm
They've got everything back in stock now - loo rolls, pasta, rice, beans etc and I don't think there are limits on how many you can buy.
Roast Chicken dinner today. I may have to fight the cats off with a drumstick. grin

Morning. Raining here too.

Seen another job I want to apply for. Nhs but I don't meet the essential criteria. Wondering if I should even bother.

NoWordForFluffy Tue 28-Apr-20 11:06:55

I would, Wreck, unless it's a vitally important medical skill you don't have.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear Tue 28-Apr-20 11:14:15

I used to recruit for non clinical roles in the NHS. What is the essential criteria you don't meet? Some aren't actually that essential!

WreckTangled Tue 28-Apr-20 11:18:56

Maths GCSE C blush but I am due to do the functional skills equivalent in the summer in my current role which I would want to continue doing and experience in the role that it's for hmm

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear Tue 28-Apr-20 11:28:55

I think if you make sure to explain that you are doing that qualification you should be ok as long as they don't get a lot of very highly qualified applicants with loads of relevant experience.

WreckTangled Tue 28-Apr-20 11:32:26

That's the thing isn't it, it all depends on who you're up against hmm

FireflyGirl Tue 28-Apr-20 11:56:38

I'll try and post them either today or tomorrow, boots (depending when I get motivated to walk to the post box grin)

Wreck DH is NHS and has applied for quite a few where he doesn't meet all the criteria - he's got at least half. I'd apply, and explain about the qualification in your covering letter. If they like the rest of your CV they might be willing to accept that you'll be doing the Maths over the summer.

CrazyBaubles Tue 28-Apr-20 12:39:35

Thanks for the new thread Fluffy

Firefly Love that highland coo - I really want to crochet myself a mini one for my desk in work and I like the big colourful paintings of them you can get but I also don't want people to think I'm collecting them and end up buying me all sorts of rubbish related to them ๐Ÿ˜‚

MrsMad I am jealous of your fried egg sarnie, I love them but never think to make myself one.

Wreck what an awkward lesson for your DD.

I would apply for the job anyway - what's the worst that could happen?

It's been raining overnight here with no sign of it stopping. It's gone cold too, even DH has put a jumper on - he's still walking around in shorts though ๐Ÿ™„

Mrsmadevans Tue 28-Apr-20 12:44:20

We were always told to put working towards on an application on any NHS jobs. It's worth it give it a shot good luck !
Crazy sterling work for the end of the last thread ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿงก

Mrsmadevans Tue 28-Apr-20 12:46:27

Crazy l am the same ๐Ÿ˜‹
If DH makes me one then l will eat it but otherwise l won't do one for me !

NoWordForFluffy Tue 28-Apr-20 13:03:45

Thank you for finishing the old thread, Crazy!

We've just filled the Victoria sponge (using homemade strawberry jam) and dairy-free buttercream. The kids love it, thankfully!

I need to go and pot things on now. The excitement!

Firefly thank you! I'll report back with progress through the summer smile

I sneaked an extra post on the end of the last thread, it said there were 999 after Crazys hard work and now there's 1001 hmmgrin

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear Tue 28-Apr-20 13:11:35

That is a fantastic looking cake fluffy!

NoWordForFluffy Tue 28-Apr-20 13:12:47

I saw that, Boots. You broke the internet!

Thank you, Most. Anything to shut the kids up, frankly! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ฉ

The cake looks amazing Fluffy. I can't be bothered to bake at the moment though or I would make one myself. Not sure I have enough flour either.

Pouring with rain here which makes a change.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear Tue 28-Apr-20 13:36:11

DS and I are making chocolate rice crispie cakes grin
