Sorry, not caught up at all with last thread because of a germy family. I’m figuring this will be the thread with Christmas on though!

No links etc because I’m figuring you know it all now and we’re so nearly there!

Happy Christmas everyone 🎄☃️❄️🎅🏻

Oh ffs, I've just lost 2 posts trying to write this - hopefully 3rd time lucky!

Onehundredtoys.com have 50% off Grimms stepped roofs with the code ROOFS50. Grimms toys are ethically and beautifully made and great resale when outgrown.

Onehundredtoys.com are a small family run business and they have lots of helpful guides on free toys, promoting independent play and promoting better play through reducing and better organisation of toys, so well worth a look anyway. 🙂

Pay Day!!

Finally think im organised. All is wrapped and the toy kitchen is assembled.
Anyone thinking of buying, the Asda one is lovely and very sturdy. Just glad I have done it already as it wouldve gone out the window if Id left it until xmas eve.

All I seem to be missing for it is a small tea set, plates + cups etc. I have plenty of food. Anyone seen anything cheap on their travels?

DH decided last night that he wants us to all have matching pyjamas for Xmas day morning Hmm for goodness sake, the amount of times I’ve walked past them and have had plenty of time to pick some up......now there’s minimal/no stock. Told him I’ll pick some up in the sales and put them away for next year instead!

I can’t stop buying things Shock I’m twitching about twitches that I’ve already twitched on. Something has to give Grin

I’ve been looking in the shops for bits for DH but have been very disappointed. I wanted bits for him to ‘play’ with, everything I’ve bought him so far is very practical (lounge shorts, boxers, aftershave, nice smellies etc).

PinkDaydreams · 20/12/2019 11:58

@TheGirlWhoLived could you maybe put them away for next year? Ive bought loads for my little one but am going to put stuff away for next Christmas as I feel he’s too young for some of it but I couldn’t resist the bargain at the time!!

Has anyone received an order from the book people since they went under? I ordered on Sunday and its still saying pending 😞

I think the problem is @PinkDaydreams I’ve got a 9 year old so she is so close to growing out of toys, but still loves playing with her sister (5.5) so I’ve bought her a couple of ‘fun’ things and then hers seems to be all hair accessories, stationery and chocolate whereas dd2 has loads more toys and games- I’ve spent so long evening the piles up that I’ve gone loopy so I’m just going to have to leave it!

I woke up crying the other night as I had a dream they hated everything and just had little disappointed faces, they were trying to be stoic but couldn’t hide the disappointment- I think it’s given me the fear!

Well, it's not my year, I didn't get a hamper and now it would seem the photo blanket I ordered in early November from Printerpix isn't coming either 🙄

SweetPeaPods · 20/12/2019 12:45

I’m properly twitching here. Having to avoid real shops as even in Asda I’m adding loads of things to my trolley that we really don’t need. The kids now have 6 pairs of pjs from Santa coming!!

Thanks for the new thread @YuleAreBeingUnREASTIEable

I need something to make up my mums presents and a table present for her but no idea on what to get. We don't get on too well and she's spending Christmas with us 😫

Other than that I'm done. It's been such a hard year that I'm kind of over Christmas this year and I usually love it.

Went out especially to Marks & Spencer's today to stock up on their trifle Irish cream and it was all sold out Sad

13:24BeauticianNotMagician81 - Woukd your mum like MandS leather gloves 17.50 I think.

Also, top tip from DH - put a photo of her somewhere easily visible. It tends to make people relax. I didn't believe him when he told me but ever since then I have done it for whichever relative is visiting. Without fail, people walk through the door and scan the room until they find a photo of themselves. I watch them do it!
