I don’t have twenty odd offspring, but I am a twenty odd offspring! I’m getting money and maybe a perfume off my dad and then my mum always gets me a load of bits, mainly little things to unwrap. None of this is really what I’d like but I do enjoy still unwrapping a few things!
I think useful things would be maybe buying my outfit for nye, I’m doing a low waste New Years resolution so would love cardboard deodorant, bamboo toothbrush etc. Maybe a voucher for a restaurant for me and my boyfriend to go to, we’re both on low paid jobs and don’t go out enough. New shoes 100%. I suppose it depends what they’re into. My boyfriends getting me a Valentino bag.

It all depends on the individual though.

DS1...Band Hoodies and Mead
DS2...Gaming headset and vodka
DS3.... pollination/bees books (for uni) and vodka.

These are the things they've asked for. I'd never just buy random stuff thinking they'd like it as it's usually just a waste of money.

Now that mine are all twentysomethings who live independently we've started having a theme for Christmas.

Last years theme was bedtime, so we all brought each other things to do with that.

This years theme is home-made and funnily enough we are all stuipidly excited this year. I plan on making a hamper full of home made treats and obviously I don't know what my 3 have planned but they are enjoying it and getting into the spirit of it.

Just need to think of a theme for next year now.

Not totally sorted yet, but so far:

DS1(26) A couple of tops, fishing gear (DH is dealing with that), socks & chocs, smellies.
DS2(24) A shirt, a couple of tops, a mug, socks & chocs, smellies and cash to get himself what he wants
DS3(22) Has asked for money & chocolate & says he'll be happy with that, specifically no tat. He shares a hobby with DH, so he's having a think about what else to get.

I have a few in their 20's. Over the past few years and this year they have got -
Novelty mugs and socks related to things they are interested in.
Aftershave/perfume/bath/shower stuff
Books. Boxsets. Video games.
Various lighting including wireless/remote
Booze
Retro sweets
Chocolates
Gift vouchers/cash
Art stuff
Jewellery
Glow stuff
Grow your own - things like the grasshead
Subscriptions
Pj's/Onsies
Tickets to concerts, sports events and activity days.
Felting stuff
Full-length mirror (asked for when moved out)
Make-up
Clothes/trainers/shoes/boots/bags
Tech equipment - this year I found an amazing phone/tablet stylus that is also a pen.
Electric toothbrushes
Board games
Return flight tickets to places they know people.
And of course stockings. It's not Christmas without stockings and us all chilling out all day in pj's/onsies.
If I can find something unusual that can be personalised. They have unusual names so have never been able to walk into a store in the UK and buy something with their names on.

Things basically that I know they would like, but wouldn't necessarily buy for themselves. Probably because they know I will get it for Christmas or their birthdays 🤣

We bought DD a weighted blanket last year and it has really helped with her insomnia.

And he'll get PJs , clothes, some toiletries (he doesn't wear aftershave or cologne)

DD1 (23) clothes and a handbag that she's ordered but I've paid for and will wrap. Her birthday is next week so she has some airpods from the family. I'll get her bits and pieces like toothbrush heads, make up remover, deodorant etc.

DD2 (18) has got some gloves for football and a tin with guinea pigs on so far. She is buying herself a switch so will probably get her a game. Not sure if she wants FIFA20 but she desperately needs new football boots so have tasked her with finding some.

I'll also get them some socks and chocolates plus any other little random bits I see.
