Mumsnetters I need your help. I am struggling to think of ideas - and battling whether the console option is a good one or not. What have you been getting your boys of this age? Big and small present ideas all welcome!

Star Wars and Lego city space Lego are going to be ds9's main presents.
We don't have consoles and we are not going to get any. However we just got a new laptop and he gets a mine craft game. That's going to be his first game.

Other things he gets are Star Wars book, Star Wars aquabeads, Star Wars water bottle, Star Wars T-shirt and pyjamas. I think he is getting loads of Star Wars :D He is huge fan of it though.

My 10 year old ds is getting

Chromebook
Wireless headphones
Micro fibre towel for swimming
Alarm clock from smiggle
Money bank smiggle
Drawing pens - proper ones as he loves art
Horrible histories books
Pokemon cards
Fortnite books
New coat
Magic set
Various games and craft sets

Last year he had a light board that he absolutely loved and still uses. It was about £12 from amazon and lights up the background so you can draw accurately over it.

@buckeejit

It’s gone up slightly in price but this is the one we have. He loves it and uses it most nights to draw even after a year.

Pandemic and other slightly older boardgames like that have been well received by mine.

Also waboba wingman and foooty pocket football.

An outdoor hammock (has waterproof roof type thing so your totally enclosed), general tarpaulin and rope type stuff, camo netting.
Night vision motion sensor camera for videoing what's in your garden at night.

Light up t shirt you can write on.

Mechanical coding robot (coding without a computer)
