Favourite Duplo set?

Just wondering if you have/had Duplo in your house, what has been the most played with out of the small world type sets? We have plenty of bricks but DC just want to build towers (and knock them down and it gets a bit wild). This is fine but I'm wondering if I could encourage some more gentle play and considering some sets for Christmas. We have the number train and a few animals that get largely ignored.

The ice cream set and food sets have gone down well with my 2

The farm and horse stables get alot of play here

And the Minnie mouse bowtique

Airport gets the least play but it will largely depend on the child's interests

DD was given a fairground set with a carousel and slides. It's really good fun, with cogs to operate the carousel, which has horses on it.

DS2 loved the Duplo artic set. You can even take some of it in the bath which helped encourage character play.

However, I just had a look and it's really went up in price!

The creative cakes set was much the most popular, and was also used for a couple of years after my dds grew out of most duplo.

My 3 year old likes the My First Cars set with wheels, fire engine parts etc.

Thanks all. I did go onto the Lego shop recently to see if they had the ice cream set but it has been discontinued and the bigger cake set is only available as a small, doesn't look as good as the old one. I might try eBay.

Loved the look of the Arctic set too but agree it has gone up a lot on price, perhaps discontinued again.

I'm drawn to the fire engine set and the fairground one with cogs. My 2 love planes but I think the airport one doesn't look like it has much play value.

I've just had a pop up advert for a cheap Duplo knock off Peppa Pig house. I'm usually scathing about fake Lego ANDT V character toys, but my youngest really loves the Peppa Pig house at playgroup so I am tempted with it. Anyone have that?

My first car creations? I think I will definitely get this, I've got a Way to Play rubber road as a main present for one so they could be used on that.

Fire engine set popular here. And the Disney Princess set.

They also like building houses.

I'm intrigued by the carousel description so off to Google that!

The ice cream set is ace! My nearly 6 yo still plays with it now!

Otherwise, there is a car maker set if he's into vehicles? Also a digger/dump truck combo that was popular.

We had the battery powered train and track, which still gets played with occasionally now by DC 8 and 12 - usually in conjunction with Lego.

I bought a Duplo Castle that went down well. (About 3/4 years ago).
