New month coincides with the need for a new thread!

The last one kept us going for over 2 months, so let's see how we do this time!

Morning all. Beautiful day here and it's the first day of DS's Easter holidays so of course he's having a FIFA marathon 🤦🏻‍♀️

Like a complete numpty I posted this on the old thread too.

1st day of easter holidays already?! DD has another 2 weeks in school yet (all primary and secondaries are the same here) - do they go back on the Tuesday after easter or something (23rd April)?

Not a lot done towards Christmas in our household - I did try to ring DB but couldn't get hold of him. But I am working on sorting out the chaos of the house - small steps are seeing some of the worst of it getting put in some order. Kids are finished spring sailing training since yesterday - they have a 2 day clinic next weekend and then it's just ad hoc training until the early autumn again as there are lots of exams and events coming up to clash with training, and they will do their week long "levels" camps over the summer. So we will get some Sundays back again - much needed!!

Busy day/week at work planned, but I can get on with a few non-work things today too as it is a bit quieter than other days. So a few phonecalls and some paperwork are next on my agenda (mix of work and non-work ones), and then getting my head down on a horrible project that I need to understand....and don't.

He's back to school on 23rd Biddy. This late Easter plays havoc with the school holidays.

You sound as busy as ever. Good luck with your project

Mine finish this Thursday, that's if DS2 goes back to school at all before then. Waiting for a telephone consultation from the doctor.

This just appeared on the active threads, mind if I join in for a Christmassy chat?

Of course not, ijustdont! Welcome! ☺

Welcome ijust!

Lovely day here too - sun is out, sky is blue but it's a bit nippy in the shade.

I'm currently in dentist waiting room to have a filling re-done as it came out a week or so ago and I had a temp fix done. Dreading the numbness.

I'm on a task clearing mission today in work. I won't be able to speak properly for a little while when I go back so I'm emailing chasers to various people / companies and compiling the mother of all to-do lists. New month means I need to plan so I don't end up like a headless chicken like I did last week!

DS2 had a burger for lunch, he's got a doctor's appointment at 8.30 tomorrow, then he's going back to school. 😋🍔

Welcome ijustdont we count down every day but this time of year it's not very Christmassy. About September time it all ramps up 🎄🎄 I don't know how long you've been on the forum but the bargain threads and the Poncetastic threads are also worth following for Christmas planning.

Good news PSB. Is he better or are the school hassling about his absence?

Hi all..ta for the welcomes.

Wooly I haven’t checked any of the other threads on the board..I will take a look later because the bargain threads sound ideal. Even if it isn’t a Christmassy chat it will be nice to chat to some people who are a little bit like me and don’t shun the C wordGrin

I get why schools watch their attendance carefully but they run the risk of some pupils returning before they are fully recovered. DS's primary school were mostly pretty good about sickness. Could you get something from the doctor confirming genuine illness if he isn't ready to go back?

Report
PhilomenaButterfly · 01/04/2019 17:39

Yes, if it's not an intolerance. The last tests came back clear, the receptionist confirmed on the phone.

DD will go to bed at 8.25. 😴

Report
NoWordForFluffy · 01/04/2019 18:27

Are they going to test for any intolerance? Or will you have to do a food diary to try to ascertain what's causing it?

Both of ours are milk intolerant (one lactose, one CMPI), so I've a fair bit of experience of 💩 💩 issues in ours! 🙈

Hi, IJust! Welcome. 🎅🏻🎄

Cish oh wow..lucky you. Christmas shopping is my fav but I like it best when it’s cold and closer to Christmas. I’m happy you’ll talk about it all year as well..I drive my family bonkersBlush

No idea Fluffy. I missed the call, rang back, the doctor was busy, the receptionist asked what the issue was, then said "you know what? Can you come in this afternoon?" Unfortunately, it was too close to DD coming home and suppertime, so I asked if it could be tomorrow morning. I hope it's one of those options, because there's no way it's a bug.

He's had 2 bouts of diarrhoea since the beginning of February ijust, he's missed nearly 3 weeks of school. The tests on his stools (sorry) came back normal in February, so we're desperate to find out what the problem is. Thanks for your kind thoughts. ☺

PSB I hope you get some answers soon 🤞

Does anyone know what's happened to @wheelchairwoes and @mrsmadevans ?

My face is no longer numb but it's aching a fair bit. Apparently the filling was deep 🙄

I have to say - Line of Duty 😵😵😵 I've just watched it. Amazing show but my god they don't hold back!

ijust yes i drive my family bonkers too. I love wintery Christmas shopping too. My monthly Christmas shopping is more an excuse for a bit of me time. We have a pact that we have a shopping trip each month and if we buy a Christmas present we will treat ourselves to a nice lunch somewhere.
I was so disorganised this year though and it was just chaos, ive vowed ill be done by November this year so we can enjoy the build up with the DC's.
psb i hope you have some answers soon.
crazy i hope the pain eases soon. I have also been thinking of wheelie and mrsmad i hope they are both ok.
