Just after some advice. I have made up a hamper for my friend with some lovely goodies, including a bottle of prosecco. It looks really nice.
However, it looks like said friend may suffer a bereavement before Christmas (elderly parent is extremely poorly and declining fast). In light of this, it feels a bit weird to give her a bottle of bubbly, as that tends to be associated with celebrations. I know it's not champagne but do I need to replace it with something else?
And if so, what should I replace it with?
