What are you buying your 10/11 year old dds please?

I am totally stumped this year.

She will be getting a phone at some point but not for an Xmas present, it's only dd1's old one anyway.

She has a Kindle Fire and I don't want to buy any more tech.

She likes clothes and 'stuff' but is super-fussy. When I shop with her she takes ages to choose the smallest thing. I thought she would ask me for specific things but from talking to her today, it seems she would like a few surprises to unwrap!

Any ideas please? She loves reading, art, animals and unicorns Smile

My daughter has just discovered a love of space so we bought her a telescope. Otherwise we bought her a big art supply case and paper.

We've got our DD10 an Instax Mini 9 Camera, as well as a bundle pack to go with it which consists of a camera case, selfie lens, photo paper, frames etc. It's a great little camera that comes in beautiful pastel colours. It prints as you take the pic which is what DD is going to be most excited about.

If she likes art then what about a sketching set? Or a "How to Draw" book - DD has 2 of these books and she loves learning how to draw different animals etc.

We are also getting DD a unicorn pool float (but we don't live in the UK). I also got her a unicorn washi tape dispenser that comes with rainbow washi tape (for her desk) and a bright pink pineapple pencil holder.

I've seen unicorn earphones that she'll love as well.

We got the instax which the accessory kit last year and she loved it. We were in two minds thinking novelty would wear off but she still uses it regularly!

This year we got her a telescope as she loves space. We also got her a portable DVD player for long car journeys and when she storms off in a sulk away from her sister Hmm

Wow, some really fab ideas, thank you so much!

Instax camera may be a possible idea - number and whimsical - did your dds ask for one or was it a surprise?

fork thanks for great suggestions, I'm going to have a proper look this evening.

Pusheen stuff (stickers, bag etc), H&M voucher so she can choose her own clothes, alarm clock (the mini lumiere thingy), electric blanket, a laptop bag. For her 11th birthday she got a polaroid instant touch - similar to the Insta max - she loves it and uses it loads, it came with a brilliant bundle of accessories.

My 10.5 dd is getting a mini sewing machine, a big pile of vlogger books and tickets to cursed child. She also loves notebooks and gel pens.

For her birthday (although there is nothing to stop you doing it for Christmas) she got money for shopping and I took her for a proper clothes shopping trip in London and let her choose whatever she wanted. We had a nice lunch and stopped for snacks as well! She had a really lovely day out as usually I am still buying her clothes so the chance to have her own money and make her own choices was great.
