Lost the plot - can you choose for me!!

Ok, so I've lost too much time on this and need to make a decision now! Can you help me choose the nicest colour bike - talk about first world problems!!

I did briefly show dd9 these two bikes and asked her what she thought of the colour (her favourite colours are pink and purple). She said the pink was too light and not that bright and the purple was too dark Confused.

I'm going to get a basket to put on the front so could get a pink basket to put on the purple one or a white basket with some purple on for the other bike.

I'll order it tomorrow morning - this is getting slightly ridiculous now and I suspect is a way of me burying my head about all the other 101 things I have to do.

Please help me pick the best choice. And yes, she probably would prefer a really bright garish pink bike but I've just shown dh a phoenix muddy fox bike and he screwed his face up. So I'm done - it's between these two.

As I said, lucky girl to get a choice at all. Thanks lovely people!!

That looks like a bit of an odd pink. I’d definitely go for the purple. It may be brighter in real life and it looks as though it may have some bright pink on it too.

Good idea to go for a pink basket.

Out of those two I would definitely go for the purple.

But tbh I would suck it up and get a proper bright pink bike if that's what she wants.

Purple one is much brighter and nicer.

Purple! The other is kind of a salmon pink?

What's DH got to do with it? Ignore him if he's not helping.

Of those two, definitely the purple.

Hate the salmon pink. Purple is much cooler than pink anyway.

Just Googled the muddy fox one, much much prefer that to either of the other options. Is dh thinking he's going to be riding it too?

I would go for the purple. It's a lovely colour and more grown up. If she's anything like my girls were, she could possibly hit an age soon where everything pink is just not cool! Also at age 9 my girls would never have had a basket on their bikes.

Purple here too!

Purple, no basket.
At 10 / 11 she won't want a pink bike.

Purple by a long shot. I'd get a grown up basket that is tasteful won't a basket be a bit babyish anyway Presumably you want this to last a few years, so buy something that she won't outgrow emotionally as well as physically.

Baskets aren’t babish. Both my dd and I have baskets on our bikes. I’m 52 and she’s 23 [grin[. They’re really useful. I’d go purple with a pink basket but tell her as she gets older you can change the basket to a different colour.

And the op hasn’t mentioned a DH so don’t know they are getting snippy with him Grin.

I came on to say the exact same as @MuddlingThroughLife once they hit those double digits some can go off pink as it's 'naff' so I would definitely go for purple it's girly enough but more grown up too.

Tell DH to piss off, I learned many years ago never to consult or involve DH in any Christmas related decision!

Sorry to offer another. I just think both are quite dull colours.
