Anyone else have a toddler with no interest in happyland?

Ds - now 9 - had no interest and no dd, 2 in a few weeks, hasn't either.
She loves her doll's house with the realistic dolls and furniture and she likes the wooden farm. She does a lot of small world play. But the only happyland that she bothers with is the mouse teapot and very occasionally the fairground.
Is she still too young to appreciate it? I'm not sure whether to keep it all as with Christmas and her birthday coming up we have a lot of new toys coming in and she's never bothered with the castle, the farm or the dinosaur set.
I held onto ds's until he was about 4 thinking he'd suddenly enjoy it but he never did.
So it's a Christmas clear out type question: if she's had it for six months and played with it about twice in all that time for less than five minutes a go should i just get rid of it??

Neither of our children have really been into it. We have the trainset, but from about 20m, they have both preferred Brio. We also have the farm & zoo, but again, they prefer Schleich-type animals and making their own arrangement. They are now 2.3 and nearly 5.

Dd never bothered with hers. I bought a fire station just before she turned two and she never bothered with it. Sometimes now plays with the fire engine and the people. I was really disapointed at I thought it was this amazing toy that all toddlers loved! She is nearly three now and enjoys Duplo and when she is a bit bigger I will get her Playmobile

Yes mine likes playmobil now. I just take away the super tiny parts. She's had a lot of play from the swimming pool and the playground. I am sad about the happyland though, think it's lovely...

Definitely sell on your local Facebook selling page, particularly the farm. You won't miss it if it isn't played with.

We only have the train set but that is well used. I can't see DD being interested in it though as overall she's not really embraced small world play

We had the opposite, DS liked happyland but was bored by playmobil. But we had some of the older happyland with the roads which I think helped a lot.

Get into playmo instead, it's lovely :)

definitely sell on. my dds loved it (still play with the buildings at 9 and 5) but neither liked the sylvannian families or playmobil they were given. it's down to what they enjoy, some will love it but others not take to it.

My 4 and 6 year old never looked at it twice. Boy spent hours playing with take n play trains. Girl mainly jumped on couch.

The five year old I look after loved playing with it and he will still play with bits of it alongside his brio and matchbox cars.
My nieces (6+3) were bought loads of happy land as Christmas presents and their mum ended up selling it on as they never played with it, however I have the train set, a house and a very sweet horse drawn caravan that I picked up from charity shops and they spend hours playing with them when they visit my house.

We have a cherry lane cottage. It's very well played with. Mainly with peppa figures. George likes to take a bath in his dinosaur outfit. Grin

Dd is 2.5. It was bought for last Christmas but it's only last 6 months she really got into it.

I think age 2 is a bit young to be writing it all off - my DD became obsessed with small world at around 2.5 and it lasted well into Reception (playmobil started replacing happilyland gradually from about 3.5)
