For DD. Sorry if this has been done already, but I need to be nosy inspired. I’ve only bought a couple of little stocking filler bits so far so need to get cracking. She loves role play (shops, doctors that sort of thing); so far I’m thinking:

Doctors set
Weighing scales and more food bits for her kitchen
Tea set - Emma Bridgewater have a nice one but any cheaper recommendations?
Lots of books
A board game - hungry hippos, Kerplunk etc.
A bit of Peppa Pig stuff begrudgingly

Give me inspiration Smile

Toy kitchen. Grandparents have offered to buy accessories. Then a few books, clothes. Maybe some games if we can find something suitable. But that's it. At 2.5, that's plenty.

Basically everything you’ve said plus a head styling thing (she’s obsessed with brushing peoples hair) plus hairbrush, clips etc. Oh and a mermaid barbie but that’s more to do with her wanting her sisters and to stop squabbling!

DS 2.5 is having:
a toy garage,
food and utensils for his kitchen
Books
Games - orchard games
Paint brushes and paints
Beads and string to thread
Ink Stamping set
Dinosaurs
Disney doll of his favourite Disney princess

Tiger is really good for toy tea sets. We bought a red and white China polka dot set for his birthday in the summer, it's still going strong despite being thrown about and was around £5. They have them in now in a different colour- pastel colours I think.

My 2.5 dd wants a bike and a scooter! We’ve got her a balance bike and helmet etc. My mum has bought her a doll with a bath as she really wanted a baby to take in the bath and all of hers are soft bodied! Also know she will love a doctors set. She had a kitchen for her birthday which is used every day! I think lots of little things to unwrap are good, as that’s where most of the fun is at this age!

My daughter will be 2y10m, so far I’ve got her
Cry Baby doll (she used to love the advert and has now lost interest)
Kitty surprise
Potty training bing
Paw patrol art set
Pop up version of her favourite book
Mr Tumble doll
Wooden tool kit

I want to get her a few more things, like a paw patrol vehicle and a game to play.

Just to give you ideas, her favourite toys over the last few months have been Duplo, her happyland set/Peppa playset/Bing playset which are used together, her rocking horse she has had since a baby and her kitchen. Doctor sets are always popular as well.

A wooden kitchen. Grandparents are getting the pots and pans etc and her uncle is getting her hand puppets I think. That’s it apart from her stocking and advent calendar (I fill the calendar myself so it will have a few hair clips and that kind of thing in it).

My dd2 is getting a balance bike but it's handed down from dd1 (has been hidden so new to her), a marble run, Peppa stuff, orchard games. Was a bit hard to choose because she has so much of dd1's stuff. I'd have gone for a doll's house, baby doll stuff, swing and slide, playhouse or toy kitchen if we didn't already have these.

Thanks for starting the thread.
My DD turned 2 a couple of weeks back and she has an older sister so we have most things already.

So far I have bought her wicker basket baby bed and this www.amazon.co.uk/Learning-Resources-Super-Sorting-Pie/dp/B004DJ51WQ?tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21
I think i’ll buy her a barbie as she loves her sisters, maybe a game and a new dress to wear on Christmas Day.

I got my nearly 2yo a really nice tin tea set from b&m a few weeks ago. It was only about 6 quid but very pretty, bit Cath kidston-esque

My 2.5yr DS is tricky - also have a 5 yo DS so we have LOADS of toys already, he also has big development delays so struggles a bit with some things, as he is non-verbal. He is however getting (a selection of..)

  • A car racing ramp fisher price thing
  • a toy baby buggy
  • some books (lift the flap / Thomas)
  • a dressing up onesie of some sort
  • Some bath bombs
  • Play doh
  • Maybe an aquadoodle

Oh one idea I might steal that friends were doing was a story sack - little props to go along with her favourite stories - like a little whale, crinkly waves and a fire engine for snail on the whale. Bit hard to explain but they looked lovely.
