I am a big coffee drinker!! Hubby likes tea and get very excited when he orders a tea and it comes out with a china cup and cute little pot - small pleasures! So I thought it would make a nice Xmas gift. I have found www.marksandspencer.com/hollywood-tea-for-one/p/p60118792?extid=ps_gglpla_Home&Furniture_748425010_45658121645&s_kwcid=AL!2750!3!227173548431!!!g!298410348428!EFKW&device=m&cvosrc=ppc shopping.google.Home %26 Furniture > Dining > Crockery > Teapots %26 Cafetieres > Cafetieres&cvo_pid=45658121645

Sorry massive link!!! I have seen it in RL and I think he will love it. Now what else do I need? And how do I know what type of tea to buy and where from???? I know it's loose tea but other than that I have no clue!! Please help

You need T2 - the specialist tea shop. Ask them for some good Ceylon, Assam and Orange Pekoe recommendations which are good versions of normal tea that you have with milk. If he likes specialist teas you could try some Earl Grey or scented or fruit teas. They have everything at T2.

I drink a ton of tea, and the nicest tea I have found so far is from this site:

allabouttea.co.uk/

They do regular black tea (the breakfast blend is my favourite), flavoured black teas, decent decaf, all sorts. Depending where you live, they may also do a tea specially blended to work well with your local water.

They take orders over the phone as well as online, so you can ring and ask for advice!

I love Whittard English Breakfast tea. They do some lovely tea bits in there too. I bought their mug that has it's own strainer and a little lid that doubles as a saucer.

Avoid Whittards and go independent- it’s almost always cheaper.
I go to Cuttea Sark in Edinburgh and it’s about a third for the price per pack.
Maybe also get a wee strainer to catch any stray leaves while pouring.

The teamakers of London are great if he's serious about tea. There is sometimes a discount voucher floating around too for their website. Some of their Ceylons are delicious.

T2 are at Bluewater, Shoreditch and Regent Street. The staff are so knowledge and fabulous. They make the teas for you to try, give loads of free samples and really understand the customer

The best team pots are the Forlife stump teapots that they use in restaurants. No spill, internal strainer and perfect sizw

Bluebird Tea Co. does amazing teas, including seasonal ones - Christmas Cake, Snowball, Mulled Cider, Gingerbread Chai

There's a couple of shops (Brighton, London, Nottingham) but also an online store
