Large Christmas Tree Skirt

I have a tree that I want to put on a little table, and then cover the base of the tree and the table with a skirt. I think I'll need the skirt to be about 2m in diameter but I can't find any that big. Has anyone seen any? Ideally purple (which complicates things further) but could also do silver/cream/another neutral colour.

Have you looked in Next - they have a new range of fabric skirts, but nor sure if they will be long enough - actually scrap that they wont be.

Could you make your own from a table cloth or throw?

i think you'll have to make it yourself from a tablecloth. it shouldn;t be too hard.

Didiplanthis - that sounds kinda cool. Much more interesting than a Christmas jumper!

I've ordered a large table cloth. Fingers crossed my non-existent craft skills will be up to the challenge of cutting a hole in it.
