Help!!! What do 13 year old girls want for Christmas???
I keep asking my dd but she just says ‘I don’t know’.
We did the phone thing last year. I’m sure we’ll go shopping and get clothes but other than that I’m stumped for ‘bigger’ gifts.

It didn’t change here. My DD is 16 now and still she gets excited over the surprises on Christmas Day. Do you genuinely not know what your DD likes?

My niece (13) is delighted with cold hard cash.

My dad has had a variety of heated hair styling devices - straighteners, curlers ....

Does she listen to music? How about a small speaker for her room?

Report
MumWifeMe · 11/11/2017 17:50

Thanks for the responses. She has an iPad, speaker for the room. She sold her iPod as she has her music on her phone which goes everywhere with her. It was her birthday last month so she had the Fitbit watch and we started a pandora bracelet so we will get a charm or 2. I’ve bought her tickets to see the script but I’m genuinely stumped.
She’s a typical girl - loves make up (got loads) loves nails (already has nail polishes and uv light for gel nails).
She loves Christmas, don’t get me wrong, but I’m worried she’ll go back to school and hear what all her friends received and my presents will be rubbish.

If she's into makeup how about getting her a couple of good quality eye shadow palettes (urban decay do some gorgeous one) or some celebrity make up. Maybe some nice make up brushes.
Micheal Kors bag or watch always go down well with teen girl.
Some designer perfume is generally well received.
Maybe some Jack Willis clothes or some ugg boots?

@Doreah I had thought about some Jack Wills things so I’m glad you suggested that 😀 Thank you 😊

My DD is 12 and equally stumped.
She's not a stereotypical girl, and so far I have a Pokemon plushie, Pokemon monopoly and a 3ds game. Stocking fillers include a rubix cube and a magic 8 ball.

Addidas trainers
Hair curlers
Earrings

Money

(Why are you comparing what her friends get - it's nothing to do with it)

@CrochetBelle I love the idea of a magic 8 ball!! Any other ideas? Thank you 😊

@GreenTulips she hasn’t got her ears pierced yet so I did think this could be an option. Teenage girls can be so mean and nasty to children that are meant to be their friends so I wouldn’t want to give them any ammo. I thought if there was a ‘must have’ this year I might find out about it through this post and get ahead of the game for once 😊

I'm struggling with my 12yo dd this year as well. She has a phone, tablet, fitbit. Not really into make-up and is very picky about her clothes. We did up her room a couple of years ago. I'm stumped!

Mine asked for Sugg Life hoodie and new iPhone. The first is doable - the 2nd not. She's due a new contract phone shortly anyhow. I have loads of bits and bobs on my list. PJs, USB stick, headphones, books. I think she would like a big wad of cash to be fair, but I like there to be something to open.

I was going to suggest the same whimsical! My dd desperately wants a sprocket to print out photos from her phone. She is 24. Don’t buy it now as they were £80 a few weeks ago, now up to £109-£129 so I am hoping they will be reduced back down again for Black Friday!
My dd is 14 and the sprocket is from her dgp
I’ve got her a refurbished iPad mini(£129 from groupon)
Benefit make up set (Debenhams sale)
Benefit 12 days advent calendar
The 3d printer pen ( Mumsnet bargain thread!)
Bits n bobs of stationery, sweets and toiletries.
Primark pjs, socks and slippers.

Friend has bought her a make up mirror from boots and she’s getting a curling wand from my brother.
My cousin is getting her a big rose gold make up carry box thing that stores loads of make up.
She also wants about £100 worth of real techniques make up brushes but she’s had her lot!!
Hope that helps!
