Help!!! What do 13 year old girls want for Christmas???
I keep asking my dd but she just says ‘I don’t know’.
We did the phone thing last year. I’m sure we’ll go shopping and get clothes but other than that I’m stumped for ‘bigger’ gifts.

It didn’t change here. My DD is 16 now and still she gets excited over the surprises on Christmas Day. Do you genuinely not know what your DD likes?

My niece (13) is delighted with cold hard cash.

Migraleve Sat 11-Nov-17 16:59:17

Gifts she has had over the past few years include:

iPad
iPod
Laptop
Phone
Fitbit
Very expensive hideous trainers
Ugg boots
Country boots
Flying lessons
Train and plane tickets for a trip away the following year
Young drivers track experience
Pandora bracelet and charms

My dad has had a variety of heated hair styling devices - straighteners, curlers ....

Does she listen to music? How about a small speaker for her room?

MumWifeMe Sat 11-Nov-17 17:50:53

Thanks for the responses. She has an iPad, speaker for the room. She sold her iPod as she has her music on her phone which goes everywhere with her. It was her birthday last month so she had the Fitbit watch and we started a pandora bracelet so we will get a charm or 2. I’ve bought her tickets to see the script but I’m genuinely stumped.
She’s a typical girl - loves make up (got loads) loves nails (already has nail polishes and uv light for gel nails).
She loves Christmas, don’t get me wrong, but I’m worried she’ll go back to school and hear what all her friends received and my presents will be rubbish.

If she's into makeup how about getting her a couple of good quality eye shadow palettes (urban decay do some gorgeous one) or some celebrity make up. Maybe some nice make up brushes.
Micheal Kors bag or watch always go down well with teen girl.
Some designer perfume is generally well received.
Maybe some Jack Willis clothes or some ugg boots?

MumWifeMe Sat 11-Nov-17 18:29:07

@Doreah I had thought about some Jack Wills things so I’m glad you suggested that 😀 Thank you 😊

CrochetBelle Sat 11-Nov-17 18:31:52

My DD is 12 and equally stumped.
She's not a stereotypical girl, and so far I have a Pokemon plushie, Pokemon monopoly and a 3ds game. Stocking fillers include a rubix cube and a magic 8 ball.

Flying lessons migraleve?!

Do you want to adopt me? I can play a teenage girl if need be, I'll go slam my bedroom door right now grin

eyebrowsonfleek Sat 11-Nov-17 18:37:49

My 14 year old loves Ted Baker and Boots has lots of it for Xmas.

GreenTulips Sat 11-Nov-17 18:40:13

Addidas trainers
Hair curlers
Earrings

Money

(Why are you comparing what her friends get - it's nothing to do with it)

MumWifeMe Sat 11-Nov-17 18:43:08

@CrochetBelle I love the idea of a magic 8 ball!! Any other ideas? Thank you 😊

MumWifeMe Sat 11-Nov-17 18:44:33

@eyebrowsonfleek she had the r😊ted baker set last year 😊

MumWifeMe Sat 11-Nov-17 18:47:01

@GreenTulips she hasn’t got her ears pierced yet so I did think this could be an option. Teenage girls can be so mean and nasty to children that are meant to be their friends so I wouldn’t want to give them any ammo. I thought if there was a ‘must have’ this year I might find out about it through this post and get ahead of the game for once 😊

I'm struggling with my 12yo dd this year as well. She has a phone, tablet, fitbit. Not really into make-up and is very picky about her clothes. We did up her room a couple of years ago. I'm stumped!

MeMyElfandI Sat 11-Nov-17 18:57:15

So far have bought for my 13yr DD

Beats wireless headphones (bought with nectar points)
Lego architecture set
Some manga
Japanese Sweet hamper
Ramune Soda
Felting craft kit
Make up from KIKO and benefit
Primark onesies
Hat & gloves
Water colour pens
Holister tracksuit bottoms
Undies
Usual chocolate
Face packs
Make up brushes
Hoody from an indie shop

Mostly all bought on offer or with discount codes.

Mine asked for Sugg Life hoodie and new iPhone. The first is doable - the 2nd not. She's due a new contract phone shortly anyhow. I have loads of bits and bobs on my list. PJs, USB stick, headphones, books. I think she would like a big wad of cash to be fair, but I like there to be something to open.

mummymi Sat 11-Nov-17 18:59:50

Sorry if anyone has said these already;
Young drivers lesson
Pandora ring
Mac make up lesson
Hollister joggers
Starbucks gift card
