Christmas

What are you getting your ten year old girl?

DD found out about Santa a few months ago, and she's now saying she doesn't really know what she wants. So I've said I'll get her surprises.

I'm a bit stuck for ideas. I've ordered her a few of those vinyl Harry Potter bobble head things but that's it so far

She still plays with her toys, but is past the stage of lusting after big play sets, the latest doll etc.

She likes Harry Potter, music, animals

We are moving house either just before or after Christmas, so I suppose reasonably priced and easily portable items are best.

"healeys" (from santa)
I have picked up Lego, fingerling, ingredients to make slime, books - still a "work in progress"

We're getting ours Cozmo, the little robot. It's stupidly expensive (£200 I think), but is a joint Christmas/birthday present so that helps with the cost a lot.

I’m really stuck with my 10 year old. Some books as she’s getting into vlogger type ones. Maybe a new scooter. Converse probably. Stationary. She seems to have outgrown smiggle but has a thing for notebooks.

These are a mixture of things she has asked for and my own ideas:
roller skates

Proper tweezers and a magnifying mirror

Smuggle stuff
Books
PJs
Purse
Fingerling

Mine already knows she has a bike on order so it’s smaller stuff. We have got her a mini set of perfumes and a candle ornament so far. Lego is probably on the cards

Mine has mentioned a watch with a step counter, and a fountain pen. Last year we got her tickets to a show she really wanted to see, she was thrilled with that!

what about a proper styling head- like a student hairdresser would use. Proper hair, not synthetic stuff that rugs and goes like candy floss. They only cost around £20 IIRC but you can get accessories. Dd got a “mermaid coloured” one last year with rainbow hair. It’s been great to learn how to French plait for me!!

We live in South Africa but my DD10 has asked for/is getting (some, not all)

-Surfboard
-Wetsuit
-Giant unicorn float for the pool
-Donut or watermelon float for the pool
-Reality Goggles (I've bought this already - it's a fishing game that comes with rod for a "Feel Real" experience as well as visual 3D
-Fingerling
-Art set
-Removable ankle tattoos (for stocking)
-Instax mini camera or underwater camera

I know she'd also like:

-Fuzzbie
-Tapeffitti
-Rainbow Poop Cushion
-Pod Swing or Hammock

She is NOT getting all of this!! I'm trying to decide which things she wants most and what's reasonable cost wise once added up!

Lego city
Meccano fairground ride construction kit
Game featuring tropical diseases
Engineering book
‘Go away I’m reading’ Socks
Weather station

Walkie talkies
New wii controller

That’s for a 11yo girl but close enough

The only think she’s asked for so far is a food mixer as she’s baking mad. She will probably get a few baking accessories too and some stuff from Lush and she’s asked for a Onesie with feet built in.

She’s still obsessed with poo so was thinking of doing her a stocking with all things poo related.

She's mainly mentioned hexbugs, a mal (descendants) doll, and the playmobil romans ship. And 'a screen' (kindle or something) but she knows that's not happening because she is getting her first phone as promised on her 11th birthday in June.

She also loves Jojo bows and beanie boos, Lego and Phoenix comic books
